CHAPTER 34: ALL I NEED (PT.2)

[MEANWHILE AT JUNGKOOK]

'Would you believe me if I told you who I really am to you before?'

Instead of backing out to ask this question, he said what was on his mind: "Would you believe me if I told y-"

Then suddenly Jungkook's phone rang, he got distracted and he wasn't able to catch on to what Jungkook wanted to ask and he had yet to tell Jungkook to check the caller ID and asked : "Who's that?" And while waiting for him to answer he tore off the package from his ice cream and started consuming the cold treat.

He swiftly entered the call without checking the ID as Taehyung requested and instead, he curtly replied: "Hold on."

"Hello?" He started.

"V wasn't picking up his phone, so I decided to call you, hoping you are there with him." Worriedly Jin said.

"Oh..." he trailed off, he was quite hesitant in handing the phone over to Taehyung and glanced at him in the corner of his eye.

Although, as much as he didn't want Taehyung to talk to him, lying to Jin and telling him that he wasn't with him might drift him and Taehyung apart more because if Jin will call and question him, he will say that he was with Jungkook and Taehyung might lose trust in him due to him lying. That wasn't his goal, his goal is to regain his trust, along that is his memory.

"Hello?!" Jin screamed in the phone.

Ow!

Jungkook put the phone at a distance to rub his ear.

He sighed and muttered a small "fuck" and he replied: "He's with me, Jin."

"Jin?!" Taehyung exclaimed and snatched the phone away from Jungkook's hand. Jungkook rolled his eyes and ate his ice cream as he sat down on the bench beside the kiosk.

[MEANWHILE AT TAEHYUNG]

"Hello?" Asked he.

The other line replied: "hey there V! How is everything there at home?"

"Oh, no, I'm with Jungkook right now." Then at the corner of his eye he saw Jungkook smiling, he ignored it and put his attention on Jin instead.

"Really? Where?"

"Lux Avenue, and he treated for ice cream." Said he as he took a lick of the sweet iced treat.

"Oh? That's some really expensive outlet, don't worry when I get back I'll take you there, okay?"

Although he must've said it in a nice way, but Taehyung could sense that he was feeling somehow jealous and this made him smile.

"I'm sure I would really enjoy it if you were here though, I'd really look forward to it." Taehyung then made a kissing sound on the phone at the end of his reply.

"You better!" Jin retorted.

[MEANWHILE AT JUNGKOOK]

He rolled his eyes at Taehyung's reply and impatiently stomped his foot on the ground while looking up at Taehyung with a harsh clench of his jaw.
