Chapter six: sparks fly

Harry's pov

People flood into the party house like no tomorrow. The boys and I stand on stage watching for our dates and any family.

Gemma walks in dressed as cat woman and I jump off stage to greet her.

"Hey." she says giving me a hug.

"You look cute in that." I say flicking her cat ear.

"You look absolutely adorable in that tux. the James Bond look goes for you." she says teasingly.

I roll my eyes and someone calls her name.

"Lottie is calling me. See you around." she says and walks off.

I shake my head and go back to the stage.

"So where are our girls?" Zayn asks no one in general.

I shrug. "the last time I heard they were with Mae at her house getting ready."

Zayn and liam nod.

"Food!" Niall says running to the buffet table.

People in costumes take pictures and wave at us saying hello.

The doors open and perrie, Lou, Sophia, and Mabel walk in.

I gasp when I see Mabel. Her hair Bounces as she walks, she's wearing a white dress with fairy wings, a flower garland in her hair, she just looks gorgeous.

She smiles when she's see me and Louis smacks my arm. I brush him off as she approaches with the girls.

"Hey." she says as I meet her at the stage stairs.

"You look amazing." I say grabbing her hand and pulling her on stage.

She rolls her eyes a blush reddening her cheeks.

Louis steps over and says "I told you a winter fairy would go nice with you."

"He knew what you were going to be?" I ask a little hurt.

She shrugs "I didn't care if louis knew I just wanted to surprise you."

My heart warms and I pull her closer.

The music starts and her face lights up.

"This is lana del rey!" she squeals.

"Do you like her music?" I ask.

"Like it? psh I LOVE IT!" Says and starts singing along to the song.

Why is she so perfect? I just want to kiss her. And watching her sing the song makes me want to kiss her.

"Light of my life fire my loins be a good baby tell me you own me. Light of your life fire my loins. Give me them gold coins give them gold coins. And I'm off to the races-"

I cut her off by crashing my lips on hers. she jerks back a little at the sudden action but then kisses me back. Our lips move in synch and she wraps her arms around my neck.

"Get a room." louis says making us pull away.

Her face is flushed in the cutest way and she says "I'll be right back."

She walks down the stairs and she gets a lot of looks from people. She disappears into the crowd and I sigh.

I really really like her. I may even love her.

Mabel pov

I move through the crowd to the back glass doors that lead out to the garden. I need a moment to think.

I've never had such strong feelings for anyone EVER and it scares me.

Everyone that I love always turns on me eventually. like my parents, my exes, and soon enough harry.

Rock my DNA comes on and I smile. This is my favorite mashup. It's of DNA by little mix and rock me by one direction.

People look at me and smile I just wave with a fake smile and go down the cement steps to the beautiful garden. I walk through the maze of hedge and find a little spot with a fountain and a bench.

Someone comes around the corner and looks around spotting me.

"There you are. Harrys looking for you." Niall says.

"Okay." I say.

He stares at me before walking over and sitting next to me.

"Is everything okay?" he asks.

"Yeah I'm just.... im not used to having someone like me back ya know? My whole life has always had someone hating me for no damn reason. or they love me for a while but then get tired of me and leave."

"You think harry's going to do that don't you?" he asks.

I don't answer I just look away.

"Harry's never acted like this with anyone he really cares about you. your al he ever talks about and the way he describes it, it's like watching you entertains him. It's like he loves every inch of you. you just have to wake up and realize it." he says standing up.

He stands in front of me and holds out his hands to help me stand. I slide my hands in his and he pulls me up.

I follow him inside to the stage where harry stands looking concerned. When he sees me he relaxes and meets me at the bottom of the stairs.

He hooks our arms and walks up the stairs with me. He glances at me as I look straight forward not wanting to meet his eyes.

The queen never crumbles.

I'm gonna start calling myself that. I like the ring to it.

"Mae."

Why can't I be a queen though? I'd be a pretty badass queen.

"Mae."

No I'd be better as a huntress.

"Mae!"

I snap my head up to a smiling Harry.

"Did you hear me?" he asks tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear.

I shake my head and he smiles even bigger showing dimples.

"I asked if you wanted to dance." he says gesturing to the dance floor.

"Yeah! Let's go." I say grabbing his hand and dragging him down the stairs.

I lead him into the jumping crowd. The beat drops and people shout the lyrics and jump up and down making the ground shake. I laugh with harry and start dancing with the other people.

Harry whirls me around toward him and time slows down.

His eyes stare into mine but then move down to my lips.

His hands move to my hips and he pulls me to him. The crowd is still dancing as we stand there staring at each other.

He finally leans in and kisses me making fireworks erupt and I wrap my arms around his neck.

When we pull away this time I don't run away to the garden I smile and lean my head on his shoulder.

I silently prey that he will never let me go.
