chapter twelve

Buzz. Buzz Buzz.

I groan and roll over reaching for my phone.

"Hello?" I answer.

"Good morning beautiful." Harry says on the other line.

"I'm not even attractive until 11." i say sitting up.

"Thats not true. I've seen you up at 8 and you looked as stunning as ever."

I roll my eyes. "Why are you calling me so early anyways?"

"Because the derby race starts at 1 and its close to 11:30, I knew you wouldnt be up so I called you to get you up."

I faceplam. "I forgot about the race. ugh. Do I have to go?" I whine.

"Duh. The boys are excited for you to see your first race. You dont want to let them down do you?" he says.

"No. But im not ready at all." i say getting up out of bed.

"I know thats why ive picked up some breakfast and im on my way."

He is offically the best.

"What kind of breakfast?" I ask walking to my closet.

"Lets just say i got you a egg and cheese sandwhich, a donut, and a starbucks pumpkin spice frappe."

"you are offically the best person ever." i say as rummage through my closet.

he laughs. "ill see you when i get there."

"okay." i reply pulling out a pair of clothes.

"Bye." he says and hangs up.

I throw my phone onto my bed and head for the shower.

Harry's pov

I knock on Mae's front door and it swings open.

Mae stands there with her hair down and curly. she has a white floral shirt with a peach colored skirt that looks beautiful against her skin tone.

WOW.

She smiles. "Hey. come on in." she says moving away from the door.

i step in and close the door.

"This isn't to much.. is it?" she asks worriedly as she looks down at herself.

"No not at all." I say smiling.

She blushes and looks away.

I love it when she does that.

"My dad iscoming home in an hour so can we get going?" she asks looking up at me.

"yeah." I say reaching for the door. "Lets go." i say as i pull the door open.

We step out into the fall air and i wrap my arm around her waist to guide her to the car. i open the door for her and she slides in with a thanks. i get in and turn the car back on.

"So are we going to your place first or are we meeting the boys there?" she asks.

"We are actually meeting them there." i say as i pull the car out of the drive.

she nods and looks out of the window. i turn on the radio and thats what you get by paramore comes on. she looks back at me with a smile.

"What?" i ask trying not to smile at her cute expression.

"I love this song." she sasy turning it up.

She starts singing along and i listen intentally. Shes actually really good.

she smiles a real smile that i've never seen before and it becomes my favorite smile. when the song is over i turn it back down and she shoots me a look.

"Ill turn it back on but i need to ask you something." i say glancing at her.

"Okay." she says fidgeting.

"Would you... Do you want to... be my..... girlfriend?" i ask glancing at my review mirror.

shes silent so i look over at her.

Shes smiling.

"You dont know how long ive been waiting for you to ask me that."

"soo is that a-"

"yes." she says and turns the music back up.

we sing along to the music together until we arrive at the derby. i pull up and get out. i help mabel out and then throw my keys to the valet. i put up my hood and pull mabel close to me as we walk through the doors. We walk up to the ticket bow and i open the door behind it. mabel glances at me before going upo the stairs. at the top of the stairs is a door. i open the door for her and she steps inside.

"MABEL!" the boys yell in unision as i close the door.

they all hug her and kiss her on the cheek.

"you look cute." Zayn says.

"Thanks." she says with a smile.

"Your hair! thats whats diffrent!" Louis exclaims.

"What about it?" she asks glancing at me.

"Its curly. I didnt know you had curly hair." louis explains and Mae relaxes.

"I thought it looked bad or something." she says running her fingers through her hair.

"Oh it does." Louis says teasingly.

She sticks her tongue out at him before Looking out of the glass door to the horse track.

"Do you wanna go out there?" niall asks.

"sure." she says grabbing my hand and pulling me outside with her.

We sit down and I wrap me arm around her. She puts her head on my shoulder and louis sits in front of us.

oh god.

He turns around and glances between us.

"Did he finally ask you out?" he asks and my cheeks burn.

"Yes he did." she says with a hint of annoyance in her voice.

"What did you say?" he asks.

"I said yes you Nard!" she says kicking his chair.

"Ow! that hurt." he says pouting.

I chuckle and she leans back with her arms crossed across her chest.

"Who has Mabes mad now?" Zayn asks sitting down next to Louis.

"Im not mad! hes just being annoying!"

This is goign to be a long day.

Did any of you see the steal my girl music video yesterday? i saw it!

i actually skipped class to see it...

okay this is what happened.

i was in my gym class which is first period for me. Me and y friends Taylor & Bryce were talking abou how excited we were for the video and my gym teacher over heard us. She asked when the video came out and we told her 11. She asked s what class we had around that time it was the end of our lunch. so she told us to come straight to the gym after lunch. We did what she said and met her in her office. She said we could watch it on her computer and she would write a pass for us. We watched it and it was soo good. Let's just say all three of us had a fangirl  moment.
