Chapter eight: jumping off bridges

"Are you girls doing anything this summer?" em asks.

"Well considering it's October... no not yet." kat says.

"Okay. I've been thinking about this summer for a while. I mean it's going to be the summer after we graduate we should go all out." em says.

"What do you mean?" Lia asks as she flicks a paper ball across the table.

"I mean we should do something big this summer."

"Like what?" lanee asks.

"I don't know. We could go to hawii, or California, Lake Erie I heard they really good camp sights, Miami beach, cape coon..." She trails off and we all start talking excitedly.

"We should totally do that!" Tasha says.

"You know what would be cool?" Chrissy says.

We all stop talking and look at her.

"If we went on a one month trip to all of this places. Like, we would stay there for a week and then go to the next place."

"That would be awesome!" Lexi says clapping her hands together.

We all start talking again about it.

"Wait. We need money to do this." I say.

They all look at me and the realization hits them.

"Let's get some jobs then." Lia says.

"We should go job hunting after we eat." alyssa says as the waitress walks over.

"Hi, which one of you is Mabel?" She asks.

"Me?" I say raising my hand.

"The young lads in the corner want to talk to you." she says pointing her pen over to the corner booth.

The girls and I look over at the five boys in the corner with hats, sunglasses, and hoodies on.

I smack my hands on the table and push myself up. I walk over and stand there with my arms crossed.

"What are you people doing here?" I ask.

"What we came here to eat and besides we came here first." louis says poking my side which makes me jump away.

"So what do you guys want? My friends probably think I'm soliciting sex or something." I say.

They laugh and harry says "we heard your conversation about traveling right after you graduate."

"Okay? go on."

"All the places you listed, are places we have beach houses."

"Soo what are you saying?" I try not to sound excited.

He smiles at me. "I mean we all agreed you girls can stay at each house as you go."

"Really!"

The boys chuckles and Niall nods.

"You guys are the best!" I say and hug each of them.

"Do I get a kiss for being the best?" Harry asks.

"no I don't like you." I say teasingly.

"W-what?" He says acting hurt.

"Just kidding." I say kissing his cheek.

I skip back over to my friends and sit down.

"Is that..." Lia asks.

I nod and she stands up.

"Li what are you-"

She walks over and the boys look up at her. she says something and harry says something while the boys point at him.

She crosses her arms and waves a ginger at him before coming back and sitting down.

"What did you say?" I ask glancing at harry who looks a little alarmed.

"I told him if he hurts you than ill cut off his balls, and if he try's to adopt than I'll shave his head bald."

We all burst out into laughter and I pull Lia into a hug.

"That's why I love you blondie."

"That's why I love you brunnie." she laughs.

"Oh and by the way. The boys said that they have a beach house at each one of the places we listed... And we can stay at there beach houses throughout the trip."

"What?!" The girls say.

I nod with a smile.

"So that's harry styles and the rest of one direction?" Lexi asks glancing over.

I nod and the girls all stand.

Typical.

They walk over and start talking to the boys leaving Lia and I sitting alone at the table.

"Hey do you wanna have a sleep over like old times?" she asks nudging me with her elbow.

"When?" I ask.

"Tonight."

I laugh and nod. "just come with me home. You have enough clothes at my place to last you a while."

She rolls her eyes with a smile as the waitress walks over with our drinks. The girls come back and sit down claiming their beverages then we order.

Lia flicks her sweet tea on me and I scowl at her. she laughs and does it again and before we know it both of our shirts are soaking wet.

"Girls girls stop it your both pretty." lanee laughs.

And Lia and I flip her off at the same time making us laugh.

"Why are you two so childish?" kat chuckles.

"Because we're awesome like that." Lia shoots back and we fist pump making them laugh.

Soon we get our food and eat. As we do we flick sauces to other tables and act like we didn't do it. one time some ketchup landed on a mans chicken and the guy totally flipped. we just say there like angels acting as if nothing happened as the boys stifle their laughter in the booth beside us.

We get done eating and I ask for the bill.

"It's been payed for." the lady says and I turn to face harry who looks away.

I huff and stand up with the girls following my lead.

I walk over to there table and stand next to it.

"You didn't have to pay for it." I point out and harry shrugs.

"That's what a gentleman does." he says with a slight now making me snort.

Alyssa nudges me and i look out of the window. A group of guys go walking through the parking lot towards the restaurant.

"Shit. We have to go." I say backing up and grabbing my board from under the table.

"Why? What's wrong?" Harry asks looking out of the window.

The girls grab their boards an em says "its Nash, Matt, jake, and Ryan. we told them that we were studying so we couldn't hang."

We run out of the back doors and skate away. we get to the board walk and we laugh.

"Lia we should totally jump into the water." I say looking down at the water.

"Okay!" she chirps jumping off her board. I throw Tasha my phone so she can take a picture.

We climb on to the banister and hold hands.

"One two-"

"Three!" She yells and we jump off into the cold water.

These moments are the best.
