Against his will, Jin forced Jimin to come to his and Namjoon's place for a game night with the whole friend group. Just to celebrate his birthday a day early so that if anything got crazy they'd have Sunday to recover. Jimin was fine with seeing everyone except for Jungkook. He had mostly gotten over the breakup (with the help of Yoongi and speaking with Tae) but that didn't mean it wouldn't be awkward between them. Jimin was the last person to arrive, and once he did, Jin exclaimed that the party had started. The boy just rolled his eyes with a smile and sat in between Yoongi and Taehyung. Jungkook was sitting clear on the other side of the living room floor.
Jin picked Monopoly to play first. "Okay," he said, "We're gonna play in teams of two and whoever is left gets to be the banker."
"I volunteer to be the evil banker," Yoongi said, "It's my other personality." Jin handed him all of the banking stuff to sort out.
"Why teams of two?" Tae asked.
Jin picked up the cowboy hat for him and Namjoon to use, "Because it won't take as long that way. If we play by ourselves everyone always complains that it takes too long for all of us to go bankrupt."
Taehyung hummed and looked around, "So who's gonna team up with who?"
Jungkook shrugged, "I don't care."
"Then I'll go with Jimin and you and Hobi-hyung can be a team," Tae smiled.
Jimin grabbed the dog because he knew it was his best friend's favorite piece, "We're so gonna win this."
Hoseok poked Jimin's cheek, "Yeah right."
Jungkook looked at the remaining tokens and ultimately decided to use the rabbit. Then everyone sat their character on the 'GO' space and the game commenced in paired age order. NamJin were 48 so they went first, then VMin went second because they were 44 and HopeKook went last with 43 years.

The monopoly game lasted a few hours and finally ended at ten pm after Jimin and Taehyung bought out Jin's last remaining property. Namjoon had gotten himself quite drunk by taking a shot for however many spaces he moved so Jin was on his own at the end. Yoongi, at some point, began this thing where he'd say that they had to pay nonexistent taxes. He really lived up to the evil banker title. Taehyung and Jimin danced around the living room like a bunch of dopey idiots just to shove it in Hoseok's face that they had won.
"Now it's time for cake," Jin said excitedly as he got up and rushed to the kitchen.
"I told you I didn't want one!" Jimin whined loud enough for the eldest to hear him.
Jin walked back into the living room holding a huge banana cake. Jimin's eyes widened when he realized what flavor it was.
"You didn't."
"I did," Jin smirked, "I layered graham crackers and bananas all day just for you. So you better appreciate it and eat the whole fucking thing."
Jimin smiled, "Yes, sir."
Jin began cutting pieces of the cake for everyone and Jimin handed them out. Jin ended up refusing to give his boyfriend one since he was drunk. Namjoon didn't mix bananas and icing with beer well. Just look back to Jimin's birthday gathering last year.
After the cake was passed around each of them took seats. The room was a bit silent since everyone was chewing and Namjoon was pouting like a baby.
"Do you mind if I play some music?" Jimin asked. Remembering the time that Yoongi had said he hated silence. Jin nodded and pointed to where the speaker was set up since his mouth was full of food.
Jimin stood up and plugged his phone in to the surround sound speaker and put on his 'favorites' playlist. Which consisted of a lot of Taeyang and other random songs. Of course, Bang Bang Bang was the first one to come on so Jimin forced everyone to get up and dance to it like he did every year.

As the night was coming to an end, Jimin's friends started leaving Jin's house. Jin was occupied cleaning Namjoon up and putting him to bed since the guy's stomach decided to reject the alcohol he'd drank. Jimin stayed behind to clean up all of the games and food despite Jin's protest and Yoongi stayed behind to help Jimin.
"Did you notice how Jungkook and Taehyung avoided each other the whole night?"
Jimin squinted as he dumped an armful of paper plates into the trash, "No?"
"I'm surprised," Yoongi said, "It was kind of obvious, but I think they were doing it in consideration of you."
Jimin shrugged, "I'm over it now though."
Yoongi and Jimin kept cleaning up everything the group messed with. Jimin even swept the floor for Jin. The two said goodbye before walking out to go home since they'd both walked there.
"Thank you for walking home with me," Jimin sighed.
"You say that too much," Yoongi chuckled, "You're welcome."
Soon, they were standing at Jimin's door just like the night before. Somehow the same thing happened where they were looking at each other. Even a person with the deadest of nerves could feel the tension between them in the air.
Without saying anything, Yoongi cupped Jimin's face and lightly kissed his lips. Jimin was surprised but closed his eyes nonetheless. It was over quicker than he wished, but Jimin couldn't complain.
"Goodnight Ji."
"Night night Yoongs," the blushing boy whispered back.
