Grazing my hand over the pearls, I was in complete awe. I picked it up from the stand it was resting on and made my way towards the cashier.
"Excuse me," I ask awkwardly, rubbing my arm, "How much does this ring cost?"
"Forty dollars." The woman answered, continuing hanging clothes.
"Oh um," stumbling away, I walk back to where the rings were.
I left the store, my mind still thinking about the beautiful ring. Trying to convince myself it wasn't as beautiful as I thought it was, I made my way to the cemetery. I had yet to get a job. I let out a humph when I walked straight into someone.
