Everyone Seems So Eager To Get The Door

The knock at the door resonated around the cold house.

"I'll get it!" I yelled, running towards the door.

"Everyone seems so eager to get the door," I mutter under my breath, glancing at Gramps who sat on the recliner with the new blaring loudly.

"Hi Cole,"

"Hey Carmen, I uh brought some chocolate,"

"That's not for me and you know it," I laugh grabbing his hand and pulling him along with me.

"Gran! Gran bus boy is here!" I yell, entering the kitchen. Cole awkwardly stood behind me with a box of chocolates in his hand.

"Gramps? Where's Gran?"

"She said something about flour and then left the house,"

I laugh, "You're going to have to hold on to those chocolates for a while longer."
