Graysons car pulls up in front of me after a couple of minutes.

Without wasting another second, I walk so fast I almost run to the passenger side as I jump in, putting on my seat belt.

He starts driving and for a while no one says anything.

"Whose house was that?" Grayson asks plainly, breaking the silence.

I chose to ignore him, as I look out the window.

"Hello?" He says, snapping his fingers, while steering with his other hand.

"A friends." I mumble.

"Mm, a friends?" He says, sharply turning a corner.

"Friend? Who is this friend? Don't you only have negative one?-"

"Shut up! Just stop talking for like two fucking minutes...please!" I yell, almost jumping out of my seat.

He raises his hands from the wheel, in surrender.

I sit back into the seat crouching down. I let a tear roll down my cheek.

Grayson looks over, as I hurriedly wipe it away.

He opens his mouth, as I expect him to say the worst.

"Are you crying?" He asks.

Along with all their other flaws my brothers have no tact.

"Yes. Yes I am Grayson. You're seriously so dumb." I sneer.

"What's wrong with you?" He shoots back.

I don't answer. He sighs.

"What? Are you on your period?"

I throw my head back against the seat.

"SHUT UP! JUST. STOP. TALKING!" I scream, making Grayson flinch.

I'm shaking as my chest moves with each fast breath I take.

Silence drowns the car. I can only hear myself breathing heavily.

"Noted." He mumbles quietly.

The rest of the trip is quiet. I do nothing except pay close attention to the corners he takes and the details of the streets and people we pass.

He goes off his usual route as he turns a corner.

"Where are you going?" I ask, confused.

"I have to pick up some stuff for dinner that Mom asked for." Grayson says, pulling into the shop around the corner from our house.

Perfect.
I just want to go home.

Grayson turns off the engine. He unbuckles the seat belt, He grabs his phone and wallet as he gets out of the car.

"Stay in the car." He says as he slams the door shut.

I let out a breath of relief.

Half of me wants to start crying again.
Half of me didn't know how I felt.

Devastated, crushed, a million words came to mind. Too many to say.

After a while I look out the window to see Grayson walking back with a grocery bag.

He gets back into the car as I go on my phone, to avoid conversation.

A chocolate bar lands on my lap. I look up at him as he looks at me.

"It's cause your sad. Help you feel better." He smiles.

I smile back.

"Thank you Gray." I say, probably being the most calm I've been this whole time.
