"And I know this sounds like I'm lying, but I never wanted to break up with you. Especially not like that..." Brandon speaks to me, sincerely.

The game was over. They won. Ethan scored the last point for them to win, so he will be happy. Brandon and I had met up in the bleachers where we sat and talked now.

"Lucas made me break up with you." He blurts.

What?

I feel my face drop as my brain try's to register what I just heard.

"W-why?" I manage to ask.

Brandon still wears his worried frown he had expressed on his face for the last few minutes.

"I really don't know, but I feel like Ethan and Grayson would have to be involved in it too." He mumbles.

I drop my head into my two hands. His hand touches my back in a supportive manner.

"I'm so sorry, I just don't know what to do- and I didn't know what to do..." He says, softly,

"God! I hate him so much." I say, as I straighten back up looking out into the field. I was just angry more then anything right now.

"Who?"

"All of them. I hate all of them." I say, shaking my head and clenching my jaw.

I felt bad for Brandon. He didn't deserve this. But he still sat next to me in his football jacket that had his name and playing number printed on the back, but was slightly big on him.

What had Lucas done to him?

Ethan

"Yo Ethan!"

I glance up from tying up my shoe, a horribly familiar face walked over to me. Brad James, one of the seniors who I played with as a freshmen, who made me miserable.

"What's up, man? How are you?" I ask, getting your from my seat on the bench.

He reaches out his hand, as we embrace in some kind of hug.

"You played good tonight. Keeping our reputation clean... very good to see." He grins with a smile.

Hearing this was all to familiar, I had always felt relieved after we played together and he was smiling because I knew he was happy with how it went.

"Yeah, of course bro." I reply, looking down at my feet.

"You playing in college?" I ask

"Sometimes, I barely get a chance to anymore." He says, surprising me.

I nod, he continues talking
"Man, being the fresh meat at college after senior year of high school was tough. I've been meaning to tell you that i'm sorry for all the shit we put you through when you started playing with us." He says sincerely, surprising me even more.

I never expected an apology, so I was lucky I got one.

"Nah dude, don't worry about it- it's okay." I smile.

"I never really looked at how much of an ass I was then, but after I graduated and experienced being the 'new guy' on the field it really made me feel for everything I did."

I nod again looking at my shoes,

"We're cool now right? Still brothers forever?" He says slapping my bicep, and looking at me.

"Of course." I reply.

"Tell Cameron I say hey if she's coming home for holidays! I gotta go find the rest of the guys, I'll see you later." He smiles, as he jogs off.
