3| New Beginnings

Ang alarm clock sa gilid ng aking kama ang una kong narinig sa umaga. It's 6:00am. I stretched a bit and realized that surprisingly, my mood is great. Kumunot ang noo ko, no dreams or voices while I was asleep too!

Napataas ang dalawa kong kilay dahil mukhang effective nga ang gamot na binigay saakin ni Doctor Garcia, kahit di ko talaga inakala na psychiatrist sia nung una.

Umilaw at nagvibrate ang cellphone ko kaya agad ko itong dinampot at tinignan.

Binaba ko na ang aking cellphone at dumiretso sa banyo para maligo. After doing my morning routine, I went downstairs to check the package, pero pagbaba ko roon ay hawak-hawak na ni mommy ang aking book of Merrimere. She's scanning through the pages already.

"Good morning." Bati ko.

Umangat naman ang ulo ni mommy at binati rin ako ng "Good morning, honey. Nandito na yung Book of Merrimere mo." Tumango ako. I can see that.

Tumabi ako sakanya para tumingin narin. Mabilis siang nagsscan ng pages at nang makarating siya sa gusto niang pahina, binasa niya iyon ng maigi. Pagkatapos ay huminga siya ng malalim na para bang nabunutan ng tinik sa dibdib.

Napakunot ang noo ko sa bigla kong naisip. You should be contented on what you have and will have in the future. All the best for you, Liana Julianne. All the best for me.

Inabot naman niya saakin ang libro ko. Pinasadahan ko ng palad ko yung cover ng aking libro bago binuksan. Nilipat ko sa pahina kung saan nakasulat ang date ngayong araw.

July 18- August 1: period for mourning.

6am: Wake up.

6:02am: Mourning routine.

7:00am: Breakfast.

"Oh my gosh!" Mahinang sigaw ni mommy. Nagulat naman ako sakanya. "Why?"

"You'll meet my son-in-law today!" parang kinikilig na sinabi niya sabay turo sa pahina.

Bumaba naman ang tingin ko sa aking libro. My heart is beating unbelievably fast because of what? I don't know! Excitement? Fear? Why do I have to meet him today? Ngayon pa talaga na hindi pa ako get over sa nangyari sa aking matalik na kaibigan!

Kumunot ang noo ko at saka lang nag sink in saakin kung bakit familiar ang kanyang apelyido. The Raveches are monster in business. Dito sa Corden City, they probably handle more than 40 businesses in different kinds! May hotels, restaurants, and even malls.
