The moon rose high in the green-leaf weather. Blizzardclaw awoke.
His white form rose from his sleep, blue eyes looking around the den for his mate.
He sat up yawning wide, teeth glistening. He stepped over his denmates, one by one and was almost to the entrance when he stumbled over Hazeleye. He stopped as her head rode. She sleepily nodded her head and layed down, her breathing being heard easily.
He pushed past, coming in contact with the warm weather and purred.
"Where are you going??" He turned seeing Stormclaw sitting underneath the High log.
He flicked his tail to the entrance but decided to answer. "Meeting with Brindlecloud. We barely have time during the day."
Stormclaw nodded before getting up and shaking out his pelt. "I think I'll accompany you out to this 'meeting'."
Blizzardclaw shrugged, walking away and flicking his ears to Lightningfur and Nightwing, who were on sentry duty.
When he got to the entrance he stopped and waited Stormclaw padded up beside him.
The white tom sniffed around smelling Brindlecloud's lavender scent. He walked forward.
He was about to head down the hill when he turned around. "Are you coming??" He asked his deputy, who was still at the entrance.
Stormclaw's peircing amber eyes stared into Blizzardclaw's blue eyes for a few moments. Blizzardclaw was the first to look away.
"I believe you. But no I'm not coming. I'm going to patrol FireClan's border." And with that being said the gray tom flicked his tail and began trotting away.
'He's acting weird! He usually comes with me!'
Blizzardclaw shrugged but moves through the slow night, his white pelt making him stand out.The crickets chirped as the nocturnal animals came out. A rabbit shot in front of him, too quickly for him to chase after it.
His blue looked at the night sky as his ears heard flapping. A screech sounded throughout the night and a dark figure swooped down.
He crouched down low to the ground heart beating and blood rushing, getting him excited.
He crept forward slowly as the dark figure clawed while screeching. He jumped and the hunter had become the prey.
It flapped wildly trying to throw it's attacker off but Blizzardclaw held tight.
The two thrashed in wild attempts, one trying to get the other off. The other trying to get the kill.
Blizzardclaw was suddenly shook off and he skidded on the hard ground. He sat up panting, his blue eyes narrowing in determination.
The animal wing's stretched out in it's full length. It's beady, black eyes staring him down. It lunged forward striking Blizzardclaw on his right shoulder and he stumbled.
Four yowls were heard from very close. Then shapes flung themselves at Blizzardclaw's attacker.
He saw Brindlecloud swipe at it, hitting it twice before hissing. His once former Clanmate, Rabbitfoot, was on top batting it on it's head with his claws unsheathed.
The other two he didn't recognize. He quickly jumped up and clawed while he spat.
Rabbitfoot then jumped back giving out quick instructions. "Bee, try to distract it. You too Shrewkit! Brindlecloud you go for it's wings while Blizzardclaw and I go for the throat!"
The cat's he clearly knew did everything without hesitation while Brindlecloud swiped at it's right wing.
Rabbitfoot ran and flung himself, bowling into it with force and snapped at it's neck.
