"When we get to High Rocks, let me do the talking." Heronstar mewed while looking at Stormclaw, Nightwing, Blizzardclaw and Blue. "Well you'll be talking too." He flicked his tail at Blue.
Blue nodded, eyes glancing around CloudClan's territory. Nightwing walked alongside Stormclaw, both with unreadable expressions on their faces.
Blizzardclaw lagged behind, looking at the trees and rocks that made their way in his eyesight. Behind him was the moors. To the right of him were the river and across from that was WillowClan's territory. WillowClan. The fierce and proud. The most cunning of cats.
To the left of him were Fireclan's woodland environment. Those frog-hearts turned out to be sneaky and untrustworthy. Blizzardclaw pictured Stormpelt and Frostgaze faces in his mind. Two cats he traveled with. Two cats he thought could be future friends.
He shook his head and kept pushing. No need to remember the past when their duty to their Clan came first. His head itched slightly but he knew if not for Rockpaw, he'd be dead. Blue and Milo knew as that's why they wanted to give up on him. But Rockpaw didn't, the tom has only been an apprentice for a moon but showed the dedication it took to be a medicine cat.
Blizzardclaw scowl on his face was evident and his eyes narrowed. He passed underneath the gorse hanging and was met with Briarstar, Blackpelt and Poppysong. Next he saw Hailstar, Mossfoot and Reedheart.
Heronstar mewed his greetings to the other leaders and deputy's and medics. His tail flicked and Blizzardclaw and Nightwing stopped and moved to the edge of the clearing. Blue, Stormclaw and Heronstar kept walking, going to where the other cats were.
They sat around in a semi-circle waiting for FireClan to show up. Blizzardclaw looked overhead feeling the wind blowing and seeing the sun make it's place in the world.
"You really gave my daughter a scare, Blizzardclaw."
The white tom looked at his foster-father once before putting his head down. "Look up when someone is speaking to you. Have I taught you anything??" He mewed jokingly.
"She hasn't spoken to me yet and I don't know what to do." He replied back while kneading the ground. Nightwing yawned widely, amber eyes closing.
"Yes, she-cats tend to do that when they are expecting. You nearly scared her into the nursery sooner than what Milo and Blue gave her." He swiped his tongue over his muzzle. "But I'll let her tell you everything you need to know, I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise." He said with humor in his voice.
Blizzardclaw cocked his head and his eyes looked confused but he shrugged it off. He then started washing his pelt throughouly and stretched each leg throughouly. 'That felt nice!'
"How many meetings have happened since I've been out??""Three. All last moon, all four Clans sent out scouts to deal with those otters and to find another way to get inside to the Clear Pool."
The black tom turned his head slowly. He yawned again and he arched his back. "Something has happened to StarClan hasn't it??"Blizzardclaw could only shake his head. What could that possibly mean?? He suddenly saw Bumblestar walk into the clearing as if he had all the time. Behind him was Mothpelt and Hawkflight. "It's Sunhigh Bumblestar! We have much to discuss." He heard Hailstar's voice say.
He turned and looked at Nightwing but the black tom had his eyes closed again.
Blizzardclaw chuckled softly as he got up and went to the entrance of High Rocks and walked outside.Greenleaf was changing and leaf-fall was almost here. Down this way he could see the changes that happened to the trees. The leaves were changing from green to red, orange and yellow. The wind howled fiercely but he paid it no mind.
