Epilogue part-II
They emerged to a opening inside the tunnel. The air here was moist, cool and damp. Aster turned once they got inside, her eyes glowing for a moment. Blizzardclaw padded in next with Wolfwind coming in last. The drip, drop from above hit water below and Aster led them down to it. Blizzardclaw noticed she seemed more comfortable here than out there in the forest. Wolfwind brushed his shoulder with her's and they locked eyes. A nod then they both looked straight once more.
"The Cave of Spirits'...this is where we will last talk to one another until we awake, Blizzardclaw."
He looked in confusion. "Wh-"
Aster interrupted him with a look. "I'm receiving my full name so while I'm receiving that, you'll be receiving yours. Wolfwind...you know what you have to do." She nodded as she glanced at them both.
"I'll help lead with you both...those cats' need someone to lead them." Her tail twitched once then she nodded. "I'll be in the tunnel by the opening when you both awake."
Once she was gone, Aster flicked her eyes to the water and nudged Blizzardclaw. He looked trying to figure what this was used for. A purr from Aster. "We will drink once, and then wait for sleep." She explained. "Once that happens, we will be on our separate paths. Good luck." Then she licked her pelt before leaning to drink.
Blizzardclaw calmed himself. He would walk alone on this journey. He leaned to drink as well, tasting the cool substance. He rubbed his chin with his paw after he was done and began to wash his pelt.
A few moments of silence went by with the occasional drip, drip of water. He glanced at Aster, the brown she-cat looking into the water with narrowed eyes. She breathed deeply causing ripples to gently cross."What's the plan once we start this Clan??" He questioned once he got comfortable.
Nothing was said at first as she looked at him. "Change history of course and make a name for MossClan. We have to stop Moonfur and find out which kits' are the prophecy kits'." She explained.
He nodded slowly. "Do you think Wolfwind would be a great deputy choice?? Or would Scarpelt be a better pick?? You know them better than me." He liked how the conversation was going so far.
An ear twitch before an purr. "I'd choose both of them as my deputy. Wolfwind has the respect of an experienced deputy already as well as Scarpelt...I don't know much about them aside from what they told me but I trust them."
He purred lowly. If she trusted them then he could too. His left eye-lid closed before his right did and he began to yawn. "What-what should I expect when I visit our ancestors??" He mewed once he stopped yawning.
He looked over to find Aster asleep soundly. He rolled his eyes before laying his head down on his front paws and letting his eyes close. Sleep soon came.
~~~~~A cool breeze drifted slowly, the coldness gripping his legs, keeping him rooted to the ground. He looked around noticing he was surrounded by steep hills and tall grass. He looked down seeing pawprints embedded deep in the ground as if many cats' traveled through here often. He lifted his left paw and took a step forward. His whiskers twitched with anticipation as he waited for anything to happen. He began to walk slowly through the tall grass following the pawprints. It was quiet. 'It's too quiet. What is happening??' He thought to himself.
A scent filled his nose and he stopped for a moment. He lifted his head and inhaled deeply. He turned to find a white she-cat staring at him, sitting on the ground, tail gently layed across her paws. Blue eyes stared at blue eyes until the she-cat spoke. "You don't recognize me?? After all these moons??" He continued to look in confusion. "Pity." She mewed as she got to her paws.
