Brantley woke up the next morning with K.C's hair in his face. She was facing him, her back to the back of the couch. Somehow during the night she'd managed to throw her leg over his hip and snuggled her face in his chest. She had the most peaceful look on her face while he gently fixed her hair so he could try to sleep more. The feeling of waking up with her fet so good, but the guilt of what happened with Jana was still on his mind. He'd never, ever wanted anything like that to happen, but Jana was good at getting what she wanted. His other head had taken over for a minute before he realized. Fighting with himself, he jumped a little when he felt K.C's hand run up the bare part of his chest and trying to snuggle closer. "Stop thinkin so much and sleep." her tired voice filled his ears and he smirked, running his hand up the shorts she had on and squeezing her ass. "I'm not. Jus watchin you." Still rubbing her leg, he kissed her forehead. "You almost had me a mess K.C. I ain't gunna lie when I say I was startin to get bad. You came back right on time baby." Opening her eyes, she looked up and studied him. Placing her hand on his face, she ran her thumb over his bottom lip and kissed him gently. He took a deep breath and looked directly at her. "Go ahead and tell me Brant." She knew he had something to say, he clearly just wasn't sure how. Keeping her gaze, he held her hand that was against his face. "When I tell you, I want you to know, I've never kept anything from you, and I've never lied to you. I'm not about to start either baby. Every word I'm about to say is fuckin true, okay?" He really hoped he was doing the right thing, but he knew whether or not it ended well, it was. She raised an eyebrow, a nervous look in her eyes and he could feel her heart beating faster,  but nodded anyway. "Jana tried me a few times. Like, to,the point I had to tell her I'd really beat the shit outta her. She just wouldn't take the hint. She tried me yesterday after my gig and even kissed me. I didn't have time to react before Jason and Luke scared the shit outta her. They got all pissy with me until I explained everything." He paused and took a deep breath, glancing down at the redhead, who still looked calm. "Then last night, like the idiot I fucking am, she texts me wanting to talk. I figured maybe doin so when no one else was around would maybe get it through to her. Before I know it, shes got me pinned up, she got me so fuckin' worked up before I could realize what was goin on, she was tryin to blow me. I pushed her off me, called her a dirty bitch, and I kid you not baby, I've showered probably once or twice an hour since you called me." He watched as she blinked a few times, looking at him with a blank stare. She knew he wasn't the type to cheat, or lie to her and Jana had been pretty persistant right in front of her face. "Baby will you please say somethin'?" She was really worrying him. Snapping out of her thoughts, she sighed. "I ain't gunna lie and say I'm not extremely pissed off, but right now I have, no offence, bigger things to deal with than Jana's petty ass." This made her feel that much more okay with shooting the brunettes father. Wow, she really needed therapy. What she had to say helped ease Brantley none. His confession was going to build up and boil over before everything was said and done. Locking eyes with her, he gently held her face and stared for a moment. "I love you girl. I really do. Nuthin that happens, or nuthin that anyone says will ever change it. You get that?" His voice was serious and final, almost a little possessive. It cought the redhead off guard, but she covered his hand with hers and kissed him, "Right back atchya." "Now how about takin me pee?" He chuckled as she batted her eyelashes. Gently moving her leg off of him, he stood up and stretched before leaning down to help her up. She'd expected him to carry her, but instead he held out his hand. "You said you were gunna walk baby, walk." Getting off the couch wasn't so bad, Brantley had his arm securely around her waist as she slowly limped to the bathroom. Sliding her shorts down, he helped her sit before turning to the sink and getting his toothbrush ready. "So I know I don't really have a right to ask but, whats with the John guy?" K.C finished her business and stood up slowly joining him and doing the same. She shrugged, "We clicked. Not in that way at all either. We just work good together. We're the only ones with a loved one waiting on us, so we made a promise to make sure we got each other back. He found my wound and stayed by my side while Death fixed me up. I honestly didnt even know I was hit. He's a good guy, and he's my brother. Don't be jealous." Brantley nodded with a smirk, "So why didn't he take a day to see his girl?" K.C shrugged, "Feels the need to make sure I'm okay. Thinks if he leaves, somethin bad will happen." He nodded, choosing not to say anything as she changed the subject. "So are we still doin our trip? Hows the cd?" He smirked as he spit his toithpaste and rinsed his mouth. "A little, I'm not sure of the places over there. CDs goin good, almost done recordin everything, bout to release the first single." His mind was just a little bit baffled. How was she even talking to him right now?! But there she stood, smiling at him proudly about his music as always, like nothing was wrong. Happy for him doing something he loved. "K.C, please be mad at me. You're honestly scarin' the shit outta me." Placing both hands on the counter and lowering his head. He didn't see her smirk. "If you're bein completely honest with me B, then I have nothing to be mad at you about. What? You trying to resolve things without threatening her anymore? You reacting like any man would have? You stopped her Brant, thats what matters. Her on the other hand? She might wanna hide. You made it clear one too many times that you were done." They way she said it made him feel a bit better. Making him look up at her she kissed him. "I'm trained to think logically B, not like a crazy bitch. Crazy bitch comes when logic gets throw out." He wrapped her up in a hug without a word and stayed that way. "I still feel horrible." K.C shrugged honestly, "You should, it means you have a conscience. Whether or not it was your fault, you feel like it was. A natural reaction. I'm really not mad at you Brantley." Resting his forhead on hers, he kissed her nose. "Let's get married." He blurted his thought before he knew it. K.C looked back, surprised.
