The trio made it back home, being welcomed by the smell of barbeque and laughter from the backyard. Making their way inside, K.C headed straight for the stairs to get out of her uniform when she felt Brantley scoop her up and carry her up and into his room. Standing her up, he busied clearing her clothes off the bed before shutting and locking the door and stripping down to his boxers with a smirk. K.C couldn't help but let her eyes roam all over him as she got undressed as well. He'd laid in his bed and waited on her to lay down too before undoing her bra and tossing it aside. Wrapping her up close to him and nuzzling her neck, he could feel her heart beat getting faster. "So we can finally have a life, huh?" He blurted. It made her smile falter a little, and he'd noticed. "What?" He leaned back enough to really look at her as she sighed. "It's just really hard to give it all up at once. I um, I told Barney whenever he needed me, I'm in. But its not an all the time thing, and I'm not tied down. I can say no when I want." The redhead rambled on, worried about Brantley's reaction. He looked thoughtful for a minute before taking her hand in his with a sigh. "I can tell you no, throw a fit, tell you I'm leavin if you do, but that leaves both of us unhappy. If I hold you back, you wont be happy with me and I aint losin you. So, as long as we can both discuss what we do and make sure both of us agree, you do what makes you happy babe. And, if thats killin bad guys, then I support that." He chuckled as she smiled. "You know, it wouldn't hurt if you threw a fit once in awhile." Brantley shrugged, "I've never liked fightin with you. But, I'm sure our time will come. It always does." She scoffed, "Yeah, I almost thought you were gunna be a hell of a lot worse than you were when I came home." "If you were anyone else, I probably could've." They both chuckled. "But seriously, when do we get to do this trip?" K.C shrugged, "As soon as I can walk without hurtin." He made a face and sat up, "Okay, then I'm settin a goal. We leave in 10 days, so you be ready." The determined look on his face made her smile. "Only if you do some shows to make up for the ones you missed." "Six shows in 10 days? Hell yeah. But, you're comin. Luke and everyones goin crazy. And, we can bring the kids." She smiled, it'd be really good for Luna, John, Mars and Thorne to act their ages for a little while.  "I gotta admit, I was extremely jealous of you and John when I heard about him, but he's a cool dude. They all are." She kissed him softly as she sat up and put her clothes on. Standing up and doing the same, they made their way back downstairs and outside. K.C eased herself into a chair and lit a cigarette, her mind finally at peace. She'd been wrecking her brain on how to say something to Brantley on her not wanting to quit. It wasn't about the killing, it was the saving. Going to sleep at night knowing even though she'd had a shitty day, the people she'd helped save were able to sleep peacefully and know that someone cared enough. The feeling of doing something right, even if it meant doing a lot of wrong to get there. They'd just stopped an international terrorist, how many people got to say that? Flinching, she was brought from her thoughts when she felt a cold beer on her arm. Looking up, she grabbed the beer from Brantley, who looked a little worried. "Nuthin bad babe. Just relieved you took what I said okay." He rolled his eyes, "You shouldn't be scared to tell me things baby. We might be dating, but I'm still your best friend, and you're still mine. Okay?" She nodded while he leaned down and kissed her forehead before walking away to help his dad, Luna and John taking his place. "Hey, you assholes wanna go on the road with BG for a few days? Music and parties." "You had me at asshole." John smirked when Luna and K.C both looked at him like he was crazy before laughing. "He challenged me. He's buying our tickets to leave for our trip in 10 days. I gotta be walkin right by then. So I told him he had to make up the shows he missed while being here and it went in to bringin the kids with us." They all laughed again. Mars and Thorne joined their conversation, agreeing to go as well. Now she just had 10 days to walk like a normal person again. Which, usually wouldn't be so hard if her wound wasn't right where she moved her hip all the time. She could try her best though, and thats all that mattered.
