It was 15 minutes pass noon when Jungsu pried his eyes open. It felt like someone had dumped all the sand in the Sahara desert in his eyes and his head hurt like he had been drinking the day before. Which he had not.
The room was in darkness with some small rays of sunlight leaking in through the closed curtains and Jungsu was about to open them when he remembered Kyuhyun on the floor still sleeping. He looked over at the boy and noticed that he seemed uneasy. The sheets was tangled around his limbs as if he'd been tossing and turning and Jungsu saw a pained expression across his face.
He walked slowly and carefully over to Kyuhyun and untangled the sheets and the cover from Kyuhyun without waking him up; he tucked him in carefully and stroked his head just like Jungsu's mom had done to Jungsu when he was little. It seemed to calm him and the pained expression on his face eased away.
"Mimi" he sighed and snuggled into the pillow. Jungsu just raised an eyebrow and shook his head before he slipped almost soundlessly out from the room. He didn't really wanna know.
He stopped outside the door and listened after Donghae's voice but the apartment was quiet. It wasn't surprising since Donghae probably was at Eunhyuk's place, which he usually was every Sunday. Them and their weird habits Jungsu thought and went to the kitchen to put some water into the boiler before going and washing his face.
The mirror told him he looked as bad as he felt, his eyes and almost all of his face was red and puffy from the crying he had done during the night after his little fight with Donghae. He filled the sink up with freezing water and stuck his face down in it. He didn't look a lot better when he resurfaced but he felt better. He said a little prayer to anyone that was listening that the redness at least would have fade until it was time to meet Heechul.
He placed breakfast on the table and poured the hot water into the teapot before he went to wake up Kyuhyun. The younger couldn't actually sleep all day.
Jungsu remembered that Kyuhyun had an awful temper in the morning when he barely avoided a fist flying towards his face. Kyuhyun grumbled and threw his covers away when Jungsu let the light in through the windows mumbling about Jungsu destroying a perfectly good dream.
Jungsu just chuckled and walked out to the kitchen again. Breakfast was quiet unless you count the occasional "Pass the butter please" and likewise. Jungsu started to clear away the stuff on the table when they were done but Kyuhyun grabbed his wrist and made him stop.
"I'll do it" he said and started putting stuff in the fridge "And I'll do the dishes and cook tonight as well, I need to pay you in some way for letting me stay here." he explained. Jungsu opened his mouth to explain that he didn't need to, he was Donghae's cousin after all but that younger spoke again instead "Is there anything special you want for dinner" he asked.
Jungsu blushed and started twisting his hands "Ac-c-c-tually I won't be home tonight for dinner"
Kyuhyun shot him a questioning look as he put the dishes in the sink "You got a date?"
Jungsu's heart quickened at the thought of seeing Heechul and eating dinner with him. Would it be awkward, who would pay, what was he supposed to wear!
"Yeeaah" he answered "But Donghae likes chicken"
Kyuhyun hummed in response and Jungsu took it as a good opportunity to leave. Now he just had to figure out what he was suppose to do to pass the time until he needed to start getting ready.
Jungsu stood in front of the mirror and looked himself over. Was it too much? Usually he would have asked Donghae for advice but he still wasn't home. Jungsu chewed his lower lip and straightened his jacket, he would have wanted to talk to Donghae before he went out, and apologize and sort stuff out. But that was not happening, even if Donghae came home right now there wouldn't be time. He sighed at his reflection and walked to the living room where Kyuhyun had sat up a smaller internet café in Jungsu's opinion.
