Okay, I'm going to get this out of my hormone-and-too-loud-punk induced mind before I go crazy. Fucking band members. I think I'd wanna do the dirty with a drummer. Literally, for them it's go hard or go home and I'm sitting here saying 'friiicckkkk' in my mind because mmmm. I would think singers (males and screamers mostly) would have these really throaty, raspy moans, they'd use all their vocal cords and dayum son. Guitarists and bassists can probably finger you like nobody's business. I'm just gonna screw a whole band.
Okay, now onto the real stuff. Music is a powerful thing. It changes your mood, but that's not the coolest thing. Everyone shares music. The beat of a drum is a universal thing. We can share emotions, stories, lives with this universal language. It's a beautiful thing, and it makes me happy that humans, despite how chaotic this world gets, can share such a big piece of ourselves with everyone else.
But there's a thing that keeps us apart. Music stereotypes. Those suck bum holes. Just because you listen to pop you're a white girl. Kpop? Asian. Country? Frickking hillbilly. Rap? Well I would say the N word but I can't because I'm white. Punk? Emo. Hard rock and screamo? Satan worshipper. Latin music? Ya bloody Mexican. Jazz or symphonies? What are you 90? Did that hurt? Because it kind of hurt me, using those stereotypes.
If music is a world wide thing, why do we have to be so rude about what people listen to? I've listened to all that stuff at one point in my life. I grew up on only country music, and was mostly introduced to other things at ten. I still listen to it. It's not all banjos and fiddles, so get the hell over calling it hillbilly shit. Yeah, some country is like that, most of the popular things today are more country pop and country rock. Good stuff.
Pop music was a minor obsession. I'm not a big fan. I have the songs I like, singers I like, and that's about it. I'll listen to new stuff coming out, but I'm not a big fan of talking about butts and fucking that hoe. Why would you screw a gardening tool? How high are you? Hah sorry. Yes, the songs are extremely catchy, like the plague (curse those Justin Bieber songs!), but they aren't really my jam.
I sat next to one of my Asian friends on the bus for feildtrips, and since I didn't have my phone we listened to her Kpop. Really upbeat and their voices are so cute.
Rap is everything from meaningful life stories to money, hoes, cars, idk whatever people are into today. I don't really listen to it, so I'm not judging. If you live the gangsta' lyfe go ahead, and if not then don't hate.
Punk has so many different sub-genres, it's like not even emo. Punk-pop. Punk-rock. Punk-screamo(?). And just regular punk. It's not bad music, it's just not everyone's taste. Emos are people, not a way to classify music that anyone could like.
Hard rock is pretty cool with it's loudness and many wild peoples and bands. Again, not everyone's thing, but you don't have to hate or call people Satan worshippers. That's rude to Satan's homies. Lol, just kitten, but seriously Satan will find you and Satan will kill you.
Screamo. Honestly, I laugh at screamo. Who the hell is that angry? I mean, a few screams in a song I'm cool with, but I like understanding the words thanks. But, if that's your jam, go have fun with it yo.
Honestly Latin music is the best to dance to. Your hips really can't lie when they start moving to that Latin beat. Latin music is amazing.
I play/played violin and piano, I love classical music. That stuff it the shiz to be honest. All the sounds perfectly coming together, thay don't even need singers to make an amazing melody. I know that probably a lot of people find classical and jazz boring, and that's your life, but this is mine and I love me some classical.
Classic rock. BB. BaBy. BABY. Classic rock is the other shiz. Uhm, we'll call it the shizz with two 'zz's to make it different from the shiz that is classical music. But seriously. The lyrics had meaning. The whole band was on point, they were perf. I love classic rock, even if I dont listen to it that much.
So yeah, that's it. My feelings on music. My feelings on how we shouldn't judge or make fun of people's music tastes because you never know how much that music has helped someone. From and everyday stress reliever to something that saves lives. Stop hating on music, and stop hating on people. Oh and anout me screwing a whole band- I'm open to suggestions, my choices right now are Fall Out Boy, The Animal In Me, Our Last Night, and Black Veil Brides. Oh, can't forget ma peeps All Time Low or Sleeping With Sirens.
