He was trying to explain me but I was in a shock. I couldn't believe that the person with whom I was staying for a long time wasn't a human.. He was a wolf! And I didn't even knew bout that.
"I know you are shocked Aanya but this is truth. ”
“Why didn't you tell me that before ?”
I asked him
“Because it wasn't the right time then .. But it is.. Now. Aanya you yourself don't know what you are”
“W-what are you talking about? ”
“Aanya.. I know you are a vampire.”
“What?”
“Yes. I knew it from the first day.. I felt you.”
“You never behaved like you know me”
“As I said.. I was waiting for the right time. ”
“Right time? For what?”
“For you to know your true identity.. Come with me”
He held my hand and carried me some where.
“Where are we going?” I asked but he didn't answered .
We entered a cave
It was dark and I was scared.
“Are you going to kill me?”
I asked
“Shut up Aanya”
He said and we reached a place. Some light was visible from there. Red light..
We went closer
“Oh my god! Jay what's this?
“This is a Ruby .. It's not just a normal stone.. It has Queen's powers in it.”
“What? .. ”
“l think you haven't been told everything.. Come ”
He took me to a room. The room was looking old.. As if built hundreds of years back.
“Look”
He said pointing towards a wall.
I went closer .
“Who is she?”
I asked
“She's your Grand mother.. ”
“What? No. She isn't my Granny.. Oh .. You mean my mom's real mother?”
“Yes.. Your mom's real mother. She was the queen of Vampires”
“But .. What it has to do with me?”
“After her death, your mother was to become the queen.. But.. She was a normal human .. She wasn't a vampire.. ”
He said.
“Then she gave birth to you. But see the destiny Aanya... You became a vampire and now.. You're the successor to your grand mother. That means you-”
“I am the vampire queen..”
“We can't say that now.. You are the Grand daughter of the Queen.. But only one thing can decide if you'll be the new Vampire queen or not. ”
“What thing ?”
I asked
“The Ruby.”
He replied
“Ruby?”
“Yes. Only the queen can lift up the Ruby from its place.. Many have tried.. But no one was able to..”
“But what's there in the Ruby that everyone wants it but couldn't get?”
I asked out of curiosity.
“It's not just a stone.. It has powers.. Greatest of powers. You know you can't kill a vampire.. Your Dad became a human .. That's why he died .. He wouldn't have if he would have been a vampire.. But only one thing can kill a vampire and that is the ruby. That can be the reason why everyone wants it. ”
I was processing things in mind.
“Aanya .. If you are chosen as the queen.. You'll be able to lift it up.. Please go ahead. ”
He said.
“Whats going on with me. I knew I was a vampire but.. Queen? .. ”
I was thinking when Jay again asked me to try.
I went closer to the Ruby.. It was shining, omitting red light.
“If this is what destiny has chosen for me.. I'll accept it.”
I said.. Took a deep breath and touched the Ruby.
“Aanya.. Now”
He said and I tried to lift it up.. And!!! I was successful.. I lifted up the Ruby.
Jay bowed down to me.
“Jay please get up..”
“You are the queen .. ”
He said and got up.
“Its time for all the vampires to meet the new queen. They've got the message. They'll be here soon .. I have to go."
He said
“What.. You can't leave me.. And why are you going?”
“I'm a wolf Aanya.. Wolves and Vampires are enemies.. They'll kill me if they found me here. ”
“But-”
“You are safe Aanya.. You are the queen.. No one can hurt you. They have to meet the queen...”
“And after that?”
I asked him
“I'll meet you in the camp.”
He said and got disappeared in seconds.
I could hear many voices.
All of a sudden thousands of vampires came in front of me. They saw the Ruby in my hand and bowed down .
I was Lil scared first but I've understood now. They are my family and I am the queen.
“I don't know much about my grand mother but I am sure she was a great queen. And now .. As this responsibility is on me.. I vow in the name of my ancestors that I will protect my family in all manners and you all are my family.. I won't let anyone hurt you in some way or the other. But if any of you do something to destroy us .. I have the right to punish also.”
After that everyone started shouting.
“Hail the Queen! Hail the queen!”
