Mickey held the phone to her ear as she looked through her locker. She was so excited for that Saturday. It was the Valentine's Day Dance and since this was her (and Mally's) last year in school, she was excited to have fun with her friends.

She, her siblings and her cousins were all as smart as their seemingly made in a laboratory parents and had made a deal with those same parents to attend regular schooling on top of specialized educational schooling until eighth grade and then they could choose an artistic pursuit to do full time.

Each of them knew different languages, instruments, artistic styles, sports and skills much like their parents before them so they had many things to choose from.

Mickey wanted to be a pastry chef like her Aunt Mari. Hopefully her mother would let her move to Paris and train there like Mari had.

Speaking of Mari, she and Karen answered the three-way call. "Hello?"

"Hi, Aunt Karen! Hi, Aunt Mari!" Mickey fussed with her bangs. Unlike her mother, she adored her curls but the bangs were annoying. "How are you today?"

"Hi, Mickey!" Both women cooed.

"I'm doing so great!" Mari gushed.

"I'm good, too." Karen chuckled.

"Has Mommy told you her news?" Mickey asked.

"Yes!" Mari could be heard clapping. "You're going to have a little brother and sister!"

"Yeah. And the daddy is thee Sam Evans!"

"He's so hot." Karen whispered.

Mickey giggled. "Has Mommy thought anymore about telling him she's pregnant?"

Karen huffed. "No!"

"I think we should respect your mother's wishes." Mari said. "Mea! Honey, don't stand on that!"

"Mea? She isn't in school?"

"No." Mari huffed. "She had a temperature and I'm trying to cook her something to make her feel better but she insists on helping!"

Mickey smiled. She adored the almost nine year old. Marcy had named Ameilia and the little girl loved her aunt and her cousins so much. It was truly reciprocated. "Tell her to get back in bed before she catches the flu."

Mari giggled. "Hear that, Mea? Mickey thinks you should get back in bed. Uh huh. I should go so I can finish making her food. I hear you and Mally have a dance coming up. Remind me of it and I'll be there to help you get ready."

"Thanks, Aunt Mari!" Mickey chirped.

"Goodbye!" Mari hung up.

"Now that that goody-goody is off the line, what idea do you have, Little Quinn?" Karen knew.

Mickey wrinkled her nose. Everyone always said that she took after Quinn while Annalise took after Mercedes and Fiona took after Marcy. Luna took after all three and Maddie. "I do have a plan but I don't want Mommy mad at me."

"How about you tell me your plan and if it's good, I'll take over and you'll be in the clear?"

"Thank you, Aunt Karen!"

"Do you love me more than Mari?"

Mickey cracked up laughing as the bell rang. "I'll text you my plan."

"Mommy!" Mickey checked all the common rooms for her mother after she got home from practice.

Marcy was in the movie theater, eating popcorn and MandMs and drinking Dr. Pepper while watching Dracula.

"Mommy?" Mickey didn't like horror movies but she knew they soothed her mother. She must not have had a good day. Mickey sat next to her. "Mommy?"
