Chapter Twenty Two

Marcy waved the children off. She said nothing about their mysterious guest that none of them had even seen. Zasha was angry for being forgotten though so Marcy and Sam promised to play with her for at least an hour that night.

Mally took in Sam's taut face and jumped on the bus happily. Mickey was totally suspicious.

Manny drove Marionette and the kids to their different schools as Marcy shut the door on them. She turned around.

Sam was there with a lifted brow. "So what are you gonna do?"

Marcy opened her mouth but her phone rang. She answered it. "Hello?"

He listened to her side of the conversation, which mostly consisted of her saying, "Huh..." over and over.

She finally hung up after telling the person to give her two hours.

"Another long lost lover?"

"Isn't that weird?" She put her phone in her back pocket. "Okay, give me thirty minutes."

His brows crashed together. "Again with this?!"

"It'll only be thirty minutes plus however long it'll take for me to make it to your room. But don't get happy because you only get half an hour, too."

He didn't like that. "You told that person two hours!"

"Yeah and after having sex with two different people, I'll have to hurry to reshower and brush my teeth over, find new clothes and get to where I'm going."

That honestly made him tired but he was stuck on her "having sex with two different people". His heart hurt at her still having sex with Alicia, who he wanted to go away.

She pinched his chin. "Stop pouting."

He loved her baby voice. It made him think about receiving praise from his mother as a child. He stopped pouting.

She kissed his chest, right where his heart was before going to the stairs. "You better be naked when I get down there."

He flushed but was really happy. He hurried to get down to his room and put Connery out so he could do what was required.

Mercedes waited for Marcy to sit down before slapping the magazine down in front of her.

"Damn...!" Marcy instantly knew what it was.

Mercedes made a hurt noise. "What am I gonna do?!"

"What the fuck did I tell you to do? But you had to listen to the Three Liars and now look at where you are."

Mercedes pouted, trying not to cry in public. They were at an exclusive restaurant but literally everyone was staring.

"I have to side with Marcy on this one." SunHe admitted.

"SunHe?!"

The Asian woman shrugged.

"I think she's right, too." Laura admitted slowly. "My way didn't work."

"Try our way!" Quinn growled.

"What's your way?" Mercedes sulked.

"Lie!" Quinn and Maddie snapped.

Marcy counted to ten before she started cursing. "Ignore me."

Quinn rolled her eyes. "You've turned your phone off except for a few exceptions so you can just tell Finn your battery died."

"Then tell Finn that those photos were photoshopped and you want to sue People magazine." Maddie added.

"Wow..." Marcy said with her whole mouth.
