Chapter 11

The young Yamanaka dressed in purple banged on the door repeatedly, anxiously awaiting it to open. Finally, she heard a click and the door opened revealing a sandy brown haired woman, with beautiful emerald green eyes.

"M-Mrs. Haruno!" Ino exclaimed, expecting to see pink hair.

"Ah, Ino-chan it's been a while! I've told you already, call me Mebuki." She wore a similar sleeveless dress to Sakura's but it was far longer and white, with three red circles representing the Haruno clan. She wore pink leggings and brown ninja sandals.

"Did you see Sakura come in here?" The platinum blonde asked worryingly.

Mebuki, Sakura's mother, frowned showing creases in her kind, yet aged face, "Yes I did, actually. Do you know what's wrong?"

"That's what I can here for. I would like to have a chat with her about it."

"Oh, of course! Come in." Mebuki said motioning the young girl inside her home.

Ino made her way upstairs to the pinkette's bedroom. Even if she hadn't been to this house in years, she still knew her way around the place. She knocked on Sakura's door.

"G-go away..." said a sob.

"Sakura, it's me. I'm coming in." The Yamanaka turned the doorknob to see a crying girl sitting on the floor next to her bed. She had taken off all her ninja gear, including her headband, making her bangs stick to her tear stained face.

"I-ino?"

Ino crouched down beside her, "I saw running back here in the streets. What happened?"

Sakura smiled sadly, "If I told you that, you'll end up in the same state."

"That doesn't matter, just tell me!"

"W-well um... today I found out that... S-sasuke-kun is g-gay." She sniffed.

Ino's icy blue orbs widened, "Gay? How did you find out?"

"I saw him and Naruto talk about their relationship and they... kissed."

"Naruto?!"

"Yeah, I was a bit surprised myself."

The blonde girl sighed, "Look Sakura, I'm over Sasuke-kun. I have been for a while now."

"N-n-nani? Then... why...?"

"Because I felt I had to keep acting like I did because you were."

"Well I guess in the end... Naruto won, huh." Sakura joked while wiping her tears.

"Yeah," Ino replied smiling at her, "but you know, I think it's about time you got over Sasuke-kun too."

"B-but I can't..."

"Why? What do you see in him?"

The cherry blossom haired girl thought for a while, "Well, he's... really mysterious. Sasuke-kun's almost impossible to read. It makes him somewhat alluring and you want to find out more about him. He's also good looking and an excellent ninja for his age."

"What about personality-wise? You've only told me how he's attractive."

"Even though he's very cold toward everyone, deep down he seems kind. I don't really know that much about him..."
