finn

Finn rushed into your room with balloons in his hand and he flicked his head up to look at you. His expression was one of the happiest you had seen.

"I'M SO SORRY I'M LATE BUT GET DRESSED BABY!" He shouted like a crackhead and you smiled.

He helped you out of bed and was happy to brush your hair and help you pick out an outfit.

"Finn, your taste is the literal worst." You had told him when he picked two items that clashed horridly.

"Oh come on, I try." He had said, giving you those cute little puppy dog eyes as you just giggled at him in  response.

He rushed you out of the door and took your hand as he pulled you beside the street to walk you down to the park.

You'd been expecting a picnic, not a huge fucking gesture, but no.

In front of you was a humongous banner hung from the trees, and your best friend was standing underneath it. She ran up to you and gave you a huge hug as Finn pulled you back to him.

"We brought the cake and stuff here so you could just spend some time with us." Finn explained and you had just nodded, overwhelmed by the gesture.

You and your best friend had walked beside Finn to where the cake was.

You remembered telling him you wanted it to be pretty, and when you saw it you almost cried.

It looked like a mound of dirt with some grass on it and at the top it said 'You're Old As Dirt!' in green.

"What.. how, I asked for—"

"It was her idea." Finn pointed towards your best friend and she just laughed.

"It's better than what he was going to do, remember you're talking to the kid who put pepto bismol in a cake. You should be relieved I made it." You had smiled in response as Finn pulled you closer to him.

"Happy birthday, love." He whispered to you as you watched your best friend cut a piece of the cake. Finn picked up some of the icing on his finger and brushed it on top of your nose. He kissed it off and beamed at you.

"Thank you, you dork." You'd said in response.
