You were walking down the hallway, trying to avoid the business. Everyone was in a hustle for some reason. You were shoved here and there.
"Move it!"
"Watch it, kid!"
"Stay out of my way, creep!"
Yup.
This is you. (Y/n). A.k.a., nameless freshman. A bully named Bash came and shoved you into a locker, making you fall.
He laughed. "I pushed a girl! And I don't feel bad about it!"
He walked away, whooping. You grumbled and got on your knees, picking up your bag and fallen books. When you put the last one away, a hand was held out to you.
"You alright, (Y/n)?"
You looked up to see it was Randy, with Howard at his side.
You nodded and grabbed his hand. "I'm fine, thanks."
He pulled you up. A boy came and nudged Howard.
"Come on! Move it!"
Howard just smirked.
Randy let go of your hand and turned to Howard. "Howard, I have this nagging feeling we're still nameless freshman here at Norrisville High."
A girl came and bumped Howard. "Watch out, kid!"
"What are you talking about?" Howard said. "They love me here! Hence my awesome nickname: the Watch Out Kid."
You giggled.
Another kid grunts.
"Watch out, kid!"
"You're not the 'Watch Out Kid'!" Randy said. "They're saying 'Watch out, kid!'"
Howard snapped into realization.
"Welcome to my world," you said.
Howard nodded. "Yeah, we're nameless."
Randy spoke. "We need something that separates us from these clowns! And baton twirlers. And accordion players?"
You looked and saw groups of his exact wording. "Did we miss an e-blast or something?" You say.
Then a red-haired girl appeared on one of the hallway screens. "Hey, peeps!" She said. "Its your best BFF Heidi!"
Oh. Heidi Weinerman. Howard's sister.
"Status update: due to the fact that my judges have decided to try out for the talent show instead of judging like they promised-"
Bash and his friends cheered. "Yeah! We broke a promise! Yes!" They were high-fiving.
"Auditions are postponed indefinitely."
Everyone goes "awww."
"Meh," you say. "I'll live."
Randy smiles. "That's it!" He turns to you and Howard. "Howard and (Y/n), we are gonna judge that talent show!"
"Judging is stupid," Howard says. "I give that idea a one out of ten."
You immediately got defensive. "Oh, no! No no no no NO!" You pulled some hair in front of your face.
"What?!" Randy said. "Why not?!"
"Because I'm shy! I don't like talking to random people, let alone JUDGE them!"
"(Y/nnnnnn)!"
"No."
"Come on! Everyone knows judges are the real stars!"
Howard looks slightly interested. "We get our judge on proper, EVERYONE will know our names!"
