"temper tantrums, however fun they may be to throw, rarely solve whatever problem is causing them." - lemony snicket
__________

Coralia watched as the water crashed against the rocks; it soothed her. She took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. The Reaping was the next morning, and though she knew she couldn't be reaped this time, it still made her nervous. She and Finnick had lost so many tributes that they had mentored. It never got easier.

"The waves are beautiful, but they don't compare to you, Cora." She smiled, shaking her head when she heard Finnick's voice. This wasn't unusual; he flirted with her often. Everyone knew that they loved each other - they knew it, too.

Finnick's eyes were green, but near the ocean, they looked a little more blue. Coralia had always loved his eyes.

"Hey, Finnick." She smiled. He sat down next to her, kissing the side of her head. "Hello, light of my life." He joked.

"What do you think they'll do for the Quarter Quell this year?" She asked. "Something outrageous." Finnick replied. Tomorrow, they would have to step up as mentors again.

He stood up, offering his hand.

"Walk with me?" She nodded, standing up. They walked through the town without saying a word, but it was comfortable. As Coralia looked around the town, seeing familiar faces, Finnick stared at the brunette, making her blush.

"Why do you keep looking at me?" She asked.

"I'm admiring the view." He winked.

When she got home, she saw her sister sitting in the living room with Annie Cresta; the winner of the seventieth Hunger Games. Coralia had introduced them, and they hit it off right away. Though Annie struggled mentally, her sister, Marina, didn't mind. They were sickeningly cute.

"Hanging out with Finnick, again?" Marina joked, causing Annie to chuckle. Coralia rolled her eyes, looking around the room. "Where's dad?" She asked. Marina pointed towards the kitchen, and Coralia made her way over there.

"Hey, dad." She said, watching him cook dinner. He smiled at his daughter.

"You should've invited Odair for dinner, again." He said, and she chuckled, rolling her eyes.

"I'm beginning to think this family likes Finnick more than me."

"We do." Her sister said, walking into the kitchen. Coralia grabbed one of the carrots on the counter, chucking it at her sister.
