Chapter 15

Niall

We're going to be free! Hallelujah!

The Colonel just came in and pulled Jake and I out and said we'd be picked up shortly and to have all of our things ready to go. I feel like I can breathe now. The Academy hasn't been to bad but I'm definitely ready to go home. If we even are going home.

I seriously doubt John would pull us out though, it's gotta be the rest of the boys....right?

Jake and I packed super quickly and then waited by the helicopter pad. They told us that's what we'd be leaving in, how in the world would the boys get hold of a helicopter? And who's flying it? "Do you think they got out?" Jake asks looking at the sky. I shrug and do the same "I don't know, honestly I don't know who else would come to get us" the air suddenly fills with a loud whirring noise and we see the helicopter coming up over the trees.

As it got closer my hope diminished. The guy steering the helicopter was Jasen. I didn't see anyone else in there with him, I looked at Jake and he had the same sad look on his face. When it landed Jasen just kinda sat there, like he was waiting for us to get in. But when I looked closer he was talking to someone behind him.

The side door quickly slides open and all the boys sit there with somewhat of a smile on their faces. If Jasen is here where's Alex? Harry gets out and walks over to me, "let's get your stuff in! We've got to get Lou to the Hospital!" He shouts over the loud buzz of the helicopter.

Fear strikes me as soon as the words leave his lips. What Happened to Lou? I don't question it as we throw mine and Jake's bags into the helicopter and climb in. As soon as we climb in I can see Alex sitting in the farthest seat from the door. Jake plops down next to her and gives her a big hug.

I can now see why Louis needs a hospital, he's learning against Alex's side and barely moving. He looks aweful. Harry has me sit down on the other side of him and gets up to pull the door shut, but he doesn't get that far. A loud bang ripples through the air and Harry falls back on the floor of the helicopter.

Alex and Brad are both quickly out of their seats, I look out the door and see a few of John's bodyguards I recognized running towards us. Brad pulls Harry to the back of the helicopter and Alex yells at Jasen to get us the hell out of here.

Now we've got to get to the hospital even faster. The bullet went right into Harry's side, with a wound like that they're usually pretty fatal.

Alex and Brad kneel down on either side of Harry and pull his shirt up, there was blood spilling out everywhere. Alex grabbed a towel from the bench and pressed it against his side. Which only cause Harry to scream in pain, "hold on Harry!" Brad yelled. "Jasen how fast can this thing go?!" Alex got up and got to Jasen.

Brad kept putting pressure on the wound and Jake looked horrified by what was happening in front of him. I stepped around Brad and pulled Jake close toe and covered his eyes. "He'll be okay Jake" come on Harry, you can fight this.....

Liam

Jasen had radioed the hospital and they moved their helicopter before we got there and had two emergency teams ready for our arrival. As soon as we landed Harry was carefully taken out and put on a stretcher and then they took Louis.

The rest of us had to follow behind, Jake was freaking out so Alex had to hold onto him. As soon as we were inside we were led to a waiting room and asked to stay there. "Alex how'd you guys get out?" Niall asked after we had all day down. She looked over at Jasen and he smiled. "Hi, I'm Jasen. I'm Alex's cousin" we all just kinda stared at him for a minute. "Wait....you were going to marry your cousin?!" Zayn asked shocked.

Jasen quickly shook his head "no no no! Before Alex's mom passed, she asked me to do anything to make sure her kids were safe...." He paused for a second and a sad look takes over his face "none of this would've happened if I'd known she was safe where she was with you....it's my fault all of this happened in the first place" he looked so guilty about it.

Niall pats his shoulder "we all make mistakes mate, if you hadn't done what you did, we probably wouldn't have met Jakey here, or Brad for that matter" he points out. Always the positive one.

I nod in agreement "and I mean we've learned a lot from this happening. It was just a mistake that made the road a little extra bumpy" I say with a shrug of my shoulders. Alex nods and hugs her brother tightly. Jasen then nods and sighs "well, is anyone hungry or need anything? I'm buying."

That was a mistake.....Niall gets up and starts naming food he's craving and we all just kinda laugh at him. He abruptly stops when a doctor walks out and doesn't have a good look on his face.

"Your the family of the two boys brought in?" He asks. Alex gets up and nods "are they alright?" We're all on our feet now waiting anxiously for an answer. "Mr. Styles was brought in just in time, we were able to remove the bullet without causing any further damage. He'll just have to be careful for the next couple weeks until it fully heals" what about Louis?.....

A look of relief passes a few of the faces surrounding us but Alex is still anxious. "What about Louis? Is he okay?" The doctors face turns grim. "Mr. Tomlinson wasn't so lucky. The injuries he inquired have cause severe damage to his organs, we've had to put him into a temporary coma until we can figure out what is necessary to help his body recuperate" the doctor explains slowly so we can all understand.

I nod "when can we see them?" I ask the doctor opens the door "now if you'd like" Alex grabs her bag and we all follow quickly behind him. We get to a singular room that holds two beds and our friends. Harry sits there staring at the ceiling and tapping the blanket anxiously. "Hey mate" Niall say walking through the door first.

Harry looks at us and sighs "thank goodness, I thought they wouldn't let you in here at all" we all stood near Harry except for Alex and Jake. They slowly made their way over to Lou's bed and Alex started to cry.

I figure it best to give them some privacy so I pulled the curtain across the middle of the room. This isn't going it end well I can already feel it.....
