Four Days later.

Somewhere near England.

Planes always made Cody nervous, even though he was former Airborne, and he was used to being in them, but the fact that one malfunctioning part could send the entire plane into a nosedive made Cody nervous. The weather also wasn't  helping either, it was storming outside the plane. After his meeting with Harry, Cody gave the thought of joining Rainbow much thought. He loved being in Ghost Recon, but some of the missions he had been going on lately wore him out greatly, he felt that destiny was telling him what to do. 3 days after the meeting, he had called Harry with his answer.

After all his bags were packed, he put them in his truck and booked his tickets to London. His flight was later the next day. He first would have to drive a couple of hours to Dallas-Fortworth International Airport, from there he would board a flight to Heathrow. The drive was quiet, nothing really happens,, when he got to Dallas he left his truck in a secure longterm storage lot, and hopped in a taxi to the Airport. After 4 hours of waiting he boarded his flight. It would take twelve hours to reach London. Before he boarded he sent an Email to Harry, to inform him of when his flight would most likely land.

Of course that was about 12 hours ago. Now his flight was nearing London. Since he couldn't sleep, he was browsing the news on his computer, of course the in plane WIFI was expensive, but hazard pay pays pretty well. He was reading a follow up on the 'mysterious' raid on the terrorist cell in Ukraine. The Ukranian Military still had no leads, and was about to give up on the investigation. Cody suddenly received an Email, the Email was from Harry:

"Good Morning Staff Sergeant.

I'm terribly sorry about acknowledging your Email a bit late, but some work came up. I have two of my people waiting at the Airport for you, look for the sign when you disembark, there names are Jordan Trace, and Yumiko Imagawa. They will be your escorts to Hereford. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Harry Penday."

'Great, babysitters.' Cody thought. 'At least I wont have to stumble around trying to find the place.' "Attention Passengers, this is your captain speaking, we are about to start our descent into London-Heathrow International Airport, the local time is 8:03 in the morning, we are just a sliver of a minute behind, if you could please stow away your trays and electronics, we will land in just a few minutes." A crisp British voice said over the intercom. Cody obliged with the request.

15 minutes later.

Cody grabbed his backpack out of the overhead stowage. He headed down the disembarking ramp into the terminal. Immediantly he saw two people standing with a sign, the sign had Cody's name on it. Cody walked over. He saw an American looking man, and a Japanese looking women. "You Cody?" The American asked. Cody nodded. "Names Jordan, this is Yumiko, we're here to take you to our base." Jordan said, in a gruff Texan voice. They both lead Cody to the baggage claim. It took 30 minutes but soon, Cody spotted his black duffel bag. He grabbed it and slung it over his shoulder. The three went towards the parking garage, they got into a black SUV and began their drive.

It was a three hour drive, Cody knew that. "Your gear arrived earlier yesterday, we went ahead and stowed it in a locker for you." Yumiko said. "What all was there?" Cody asked "Your weapons and tac gear, plus a couple of hardcases, and some computer parts." She answered. "It's abit of a drive, you look pretty tired, why don't you go ahead and get some sleep, ill wake you when we arrive." Jordan said. Cody leaned his head against the window of the SUV and fell asleep.

Those three hours went by quick. "Hey, wake up." Jordan said. Cody jolted awake, "Jeez, you always wake up like that?" Jordan asked. Cody stayed silent, he looked out the window and saw the entrance to the base. "Hereford Airbase." The sign said. they drove up to the gate whre a soldier checked their IDs. After their IDs were verified, they drove into the base. The drove to a newer looking building. THe building itself was a massive complex. five stories tall. They parked the SUV by the main entrance. "Welcome to our HQ" Jordan said. They exited theSUV, Cody went to grab his bags, but Jordan sopped him and said "Don't worry about your bags, I'll get them for you, Yumi, take him to Harry." "Alright." Cody said. He followed Yumiko inside.

During the walk to Harry's office, Cody got to know a bit about Yumiko, Apparently, she was apart of Japan's Special Assault Team, her call sign was Hibana, and she has been in Rainbow for two years. She also gave Cody a brief rundown of Rainbows activities. Rainbows first main action was responding to the Bartlett University Attack, five operators went in to stop two chemical bombs that were planted at the university. After a couple of minutes of walking, the reached a door. The door had a plaque on it, it read "Dr. Harvish Penday, Director of operations." Yumiko knocked on the door. "Enter" said a voice from within.

They entered. "Ah, Staff Sergeant Hallum, its good to see you." Harry rose and shook Cody's hand. "Yumiko, you may leave." He said. She nodded and left. "Please, sit, How was your flight?" Harry asked "It was fine." Cody answered. "Wonderful, now I must tell you, I have to perform a psychological evaluation before anything else, it helps me fit you into a role for the team, I will record this session." Harry said as he pulled out a recorder. "Dr. Harvish Penday, October 13th, 2019, Cody "Viking" Hallum, preliminary Psychological Evaluation." He said into the Recorder.

Two Hours later.

Harry clicked a button on his recorder. "That will do for today, I am sure you are very tired. I will have someone take you to your room. Tomorrow, I will arrange a demonstration to help introduce you to everyone. Harry clicked a button on his desk, "Seamus, can you please come to my office." Two minutes later a knock was heard on the door. "You called for me sir?" A man with a scottish accent said. "Yes, please, show the staff sergeant to his room please." Harry said. "Yes Sir." The big man said.

The walk to Cody's room was short. The Big man known as Seamus told Cody that he was known as Sledge. He was a quiet man, then again so was Cody. "Here's your room, Breakfast is served from 0700 to 1000." Seamus said, He gave Cody his key to his room, and a small PDA looking item. "This is your communicator, we use it to keep in contact with all of the operators here." Cody grabbed both and thanked Seamus. Seamus walked away shortly afterwards. Cody turned to the door.

Cody unlocked the door and entered. Inside was a rather nice Apartment style room. It had a separate shower, and it's own small kitchen. There was a separate bedroom attached to a decent sized living room. 'Always knew the Rainbows were pampered.' Cody thought. He noticed his duffel bag was on the counter, he grabbed it and went to change into some relaxing clothes, he was still jetlagged, and was going to try to catch up on his sleep.

(AN: So, the next few chapters will be ready soon, I'm in the middle of proofreading them for errors. Action sequences are not my strength, though i am working on that. The story is going well so far, and is coming together nicely. - Peak)
