Toronto, several days later

The Rogues stood atop the repaired roof of the luxury apartments, surveying the city, accompanied by Reese and Tricia.

"Yo, some capes would be badass right now, no lie " Eli proclaimed, standing as if he were Superman.

Anthony facepalmed himself. "Jesus, man, just stop."

Reese looked out at the city, with Tricia standing behind him.

"Fuck heights." Tricia shook. "And this cold-ass weather."

Reese chuckled. "Don't worry about it. Just wanted to help with the rebuilding. Benefits of havin superpowers."

"Yeah, whatever," Eli said. "Your punk ass just moved the furniture back and shit. I did the heavy lifting."

Reese laughed. "You do know I'm just as strong as you, right?"

"Oh, bet?"

Danny chimed in. "Alright, fellas, cool it."

Eli scoffed. "Nigga, I ain't coolin shit! This cracker really think he's hot shit."

"Well, he did save the world from an alien attack last year, so..."

Eli shrugged. "Shit, that was last year."

"What's your deal, man?" Reese asked. "You've had a problem with me since I got here."

"How do I know you ain't gonna snitch us out to the Sentinels?"

"I'm still here, aren't I?"

Eli stepped back. "Fair enough. But don't expect me to be all buddy-buddy like Anthony and his girl."

Reese nodded, shaking his hand. "Fair enough."

Aftet the handshake the team, minus Reese, headed back inside, to which Tricia exhaled in relief at the warmth inside Anthony's penthouse.

Reese was still mesmerized at the view of Toronto he had at the moment, the chill of the snowy weather was soothing.

Just then, Reese's phone rang, to which he checked the caller ID.

It was Bill.

Reese answered it, only to be met with a somewhat irate Darian.

"You better have a damn good reason for not answering sooner, mate!"

"Hey, calm down, D. I think it's the best way to approach this." Reese replied.

"Reese, this is Bill." Bill's voice chimed in. "I didn't send you to make friends. Either get them to stop their superhuman activity, or get them to report to us."

"I get it, Bill, but these guys aren't bad. Sure, they might partake in a theft or two, but who wouldn't, especially if they were Superhumans like us."

"It's breaking the law! Those two brothers need to answer for it, or work for us."

"Wow, it's almost like you're saying 'join me or die'. Not that great of a choice."

"You know that's not what I meant. I just want there to be accountability in case shit goes south, like innocent people getting caught in the middle of a fight, or a major landmark getting trashed. You understand, right?"

"I do. But you can't sit there and decide who's in the right and wrong. You gotta give them time to prove themselves, like me. You remember when I asked to work with you guys. Besides, you sent me here, so it's my call."

Bill sighed. "Fair enough. You have two more days. Whether or not they agree with me, I need you to get them to come stateside."

"Okay, Bill. Two days."

Reese hung up the phone, and hurried back inside to Anthony's place.
