Sentinels Facility, downtown Vanderbilt City, Iowa. The next day.

Bill Morrison sat alongside the rest of the near legendary superhero team, the Sentinels.

To his left was fellow co-founder Darian Hatcher, an Australian deep sea diver known for significant finds in the Pacific Ocean. His biggest find was that of the legendary Trident belonging to the Greek sea god Poseidon, the same artifact that embued him with his powers. Anything involving water, he has control over.

Next to him was renowned archaeologist Dr. Marie Grant whose brains and beauty were evenly balanced. She was part of a dig in Egypt's Valley of the Kings; this expedition was launched in order to support the wild notion of fellow archaeologist and historian Dr. Quentin Oxman that there were so-called 'creator gods' that predated almost every pantheon in human history. After three years, the first evidence of this race, dubbed the Praetorians, was unearthed. Doctor Grant was the first one to find it. Much like how Bill and Darian acquired their abilities, Marie got hers from touching the Praetorian artifact; it embued her with an intellect that rivals gods, access to memories that were of the Praetorian race and limited temporal manipulation (being able to go foward or backwards up to three hours in time).

Across from Bill was the oldest man on the team, and perhaps, in all existence. Li Shan was born over two thousand years ago in China. He served in the army of Emperor Han for some time before deserting after Emperor Han ordered the destruction of the Shaolin Temple. Li assisted in getting survivors to safety, even taking refuge with some of them far north in the mountains. There, survivors built a village, and with five Shaolin monks, Li protected them by learning from the mythical Five Elders, the secrets of chi. His learning of these ancient arts kept him alive through several millennia.

Finally, next to Li, was pioneer of particle science Dr. Francis O'Neal, known for work involving the Hadron collider in Switzerland. However, it all changed when a test went wrong, and O'Neal found himself with the ability to teleport, as well as enhanced speed.

Together, they formed the Sentinels, and made a pact to combat threats around the world that posed high risk.

Bill himself, much like Dr. Grant, was an archaeologist, but leaned more into treasure hunting. During a visit to Greece, he found a piece of the Aegis, the legendary shield that once belonged to the Olympian king Zeus. Touching the fragment gifted him Zeus's powers: command over the skies; he is able to conjure any meteorological event from light rain showers, to category five hurricanes.

He sat at the meeting table, watching the camera footage out of Canada which showed Reese savagely beating a Superhuman.

"Christ," Darian chimed. "I thought we could trust him to do the right thing."

"He must've had a reason," Marie spoke. "More than likely, due to his aggressive assault, it was an emotional response. Probably that man threatened, or God forbid, hurt Tricia."

"True," Francis agreed, "but that doesn't give him the green light to kill whoever pisses him off."

"I agree." Bill noted, not before seeing footage of Danny divvying up shares of cash among the team, including Reese. Sparks flew from Bill's eyes; how could he knowingly engage in criminal activity.

"That's it." Bill growled. "Reese is finished. I'll call and get him and those others to Seattle. They're going to learn they have to answer for their crimes, especially Reese."

"That, most likely, will be really fucked up Bill." Marie noted. "If it's just going to end the way I think it will, count me out."

Bill nodded. "I respect that. What about you, Li? You've been quiet."

"I am simply coming to a logical decision by weighing my options." Li replied. "If you truly think these people are threats, then I will help the best I can. But as you said, they must atone for their misdeeds, which means no killing of any kind."

"I wouldn't."

"I can sense that anger, Bill. It eats at you; you must calm yourself before this great challenge. As the elders taught me...the point between rage and serenity: balance."

Bill sighed. "You're right. However, I won't be pulling punches if it gets to that."

"I understand." Li replied.

"Good. Sentinels, suit up."

The team, minus Marie, readied themselves to stop The Rogues, and much to Bill's dismay...Reese.
