Morris residence, Vanderbilt City

Reese stretched as he sprung out of bed, moving Tricia's arm away from him.

"M...morning, babe." Tricia mumbled.

"Morning, T." Reese replied, reaching for his shirt on the floor.

Tricia studied the scars across his back, the interconnected cuts trailed down to his legs. On his right leg was a large burn mark almost engulfing his calf, a result of Reese's brawl from last year.

"Morning, Alie." Reese greeted his in home AI.

"Good morning, Mr. Morris." Alison replied, her avatar of a female appeared on a pedestal from the Captain's ship. "The current weather is sixty-eight degrees, with a twelve percent chance of showers, as well as-"

"Thanks, Alie, good to know you slept well, too."

"I'm an artificial intelligence, Reese, I don't require sleep." Alison responded.

Reese chuckled, not before heading to the kitchen, pouring himself and Tricia cups of coffee.

As Reese brought the cups back to their bedroom, the doorbell sounded.

"Bill Morrison is here, Reese." Alison informed.

"It's alright, let him in."

Alison unlocked the encryption pad, and the door opened as Bill entered.

"Ah, good morning Reese." The leader of the Sentinels greeted, not before seeing the couple in their room.

"Oh, I'm sorry if I interrupted-"

"No, no it's okay." Tricia said. "Just go ahead and wait in the kitchen."

"Want any coffee?" Reese asked.

"I'll pass." Bill waved before heading to the kitchen table.

"Hello, Mr. Morrison." Alison greeted.

"Ah yes, Alison...right?"

"Yes." Alison smiled.

Bill recalled the deal that was made for Reese to have her in their home, and how...costly it was. Luckily, his friend Marcus is on good terms with the Pentagon, and the President.

-a few minutes later-

"What do I owe the visit, Bill?" Reese asked, now on his second cup.

"There's something I need for you to handle. Up in Toronto, there are two brothers who reside there. They are rumored to be responsible for a string of robberies stateside. They're currently in Toronto, operating with two new players as an independent team."

"What are their names?"

"Anthony and Edward Tyler." Bill recalled. "They have some...interesting abilities. Anthony can manipulate someone's cerebral cortex, influencing them to do whatever he wishes. Danny, meanwhile, can run up to Mach 3."

"Fast and weird, got it. What do you want me to do, arrest them?"

"No, no. Just talk to them, and see if you can't convince them to come work with us. I'm not too fond of another group operating without any sort of supervision."

Reese nodded. "Guess I'll need a parka."

Bill smiled. "Good! Meet us at the rooftop of HQ, I'll have a plane ready to go."

"Wait, you're not coming with?"

"Sadly, no. The Sentinels have been asked to handle a nuclear problem in Eastern Europe. I wish you the best of luck."

"Thanks, Bill. Kinda strange gettin praise from you."

Bill chuckled. "You've come a long way in a year, Reese. I'm proud of you."

Bill walked toward the front door. "The Sentinels, we'll be back in three days. It was good seeing you two."

Tricia grinned. "Bye Bill! Tell Darian i said hi."

Bill smiled. "Will do." He then walked out into the elevator.

Reese closed the door, and turned around to be met with kisses from Tricia.

"Don't be gone long, or I might make it happen with Darian."

"Really? You still have a crush on the Pacific King? He's just a glorified Aussie surfer with Aquaman powers." Reese chuckled.

"He's my hall pass."

"Hall what?"

Tricia laughed. "Kidding, babe. Now come on, let's get ready."

"Hold on, I didn't say anything about you tagging along."

"Well, too bad, I changed my mind. I've always wanted to see Canada."

Reese sighed. "Alright. But don't bring four bags, okay?"

"No promises." Tricia headed into the bathroom.

Reese sighed, wondering how he managed to get a woman like her.
He then opened up a closet, and rumaged through the jackets hanging up, ready to head uo north, and hopefully, not get into another fight that takes out half of Toronto.
