billy's pov
her pouting lips turned into a smile and her puppy dog eyes turned wide with joy. i grin at her happiness.
"okay, get in the car," i say pointing to the camaro, "let me just get my coat." i'm scared to walk back inside, knowing he might stop me so i try to make it quick. i look back and she's already in the car waiting, a smile on her face. i grab my jean jacket, perfect to the fit.
"is she the whore you were so desperate to see yesterday?" i hear his slow voice from around the corner, "so desperate to see that you couldn't even pick up max after school."
"she's not a whore. don't ever fucking call her that." i snap back.
i get out of the house as fast as possible, my once grinning face back to the regular frown.
"i feel honored that i get to be in the infamous blue camaro." she laughs emphasizing on her the. she knew a lot, but was also so oblivious to the real world at the same time.
"yeah, you shouldn't feel honored. at all. a lot of girls have been in here."
"okay, well i'm the first girl not falling at your feet to sleep with you." she fires back. but, she was right. every other girl practically begged to get a ride, only for at the end of the night to have sex.
"we'll see about that." i murmur, turning up the volume on the radio to drown out any incoming backfires from heather.
after a good fifteen minutes of driving around and her looking out the window like a kid in a candy store she asks, "where are we going though?"
i never really thought of that. i just drove, i thought eventually she would have somewhere in mind to go. "do you have anywhere?" i reluctantly ask, hoping she says at least somewhere because then i gotta find somewhere quick. i won't waste all this gas for nothing.
"not really. i was hoping you would know somewhere." shit.
"alright so you just tell me you want to know shit about me but don't even have a place in mind to do it?"
"you were the one who said to get in the car, i was fine with just staying at your house."
"okay, well we can just go to your house then." i gesture.
she perks up, "that's not a good idea, just no one is home and my parents would kill me if they knew i had a guy over when they were not ho-" she starts rambling about another life story i didn't care about.
"you really think i'm going to make a move on you?" i stare at her, "if i wanted to, i would have by now. stop thinking you're so special. get out of your high school mindset."
"no one can ever win with you." she snarks, looking back out of the window.
"so we aren't going to your house?" i ask again, buying time to find somewhere to go.
"i would rather not." she drains off.
"okay well, start questioning me like some serial killer before i change my mind."
"it's not like that, billy." she sighs, "if you don't want to talk about it, it's fine, i just want you to let people in. i don't care if it is me or not."
"why do you want me to let people in so badly? i am my own person."
"don't you ever get lonely? on your bad nights, do you ever wish you had someone to just pick up the phone and listen to you?" she questions.
"i have friends heather, i'm not like jonath-" i pause knowing that she is friends with him. "people are just going to continue living their life regardless of what happens in their friend's life."
