It was the first day of senior year in high school and Roman was with his friends from the football team of junior year. He was on his way from his locker to his first class. He never really liked school, even though he had a perfect GPA, and he was popular. It just never grew on him. The only thing he did like, was the theater. He was very exited when he saw the sign up sheet on this way to chemistry, so he quickly put his name down on the sheet and hurried to his class. He couldn't be late on the first day!
—————
"Listen, it'll be fine! It won't hurt to just try something new for your last year of high school!"
Patton begged Virgil, hoping for him to sign up for the play this time. " you know what, fine. But only because this is my last year here and no one is gonna remember." Virgil had no interest in this play, but he knew that no one was going to remember him, ( if he even gets a part that is) and that it's the least he can do for Patton, cause he's been begging him every year since they were in eighth grade.Virgil and Patton both wrote their names down on the sign up sheet and went to their different classes.
Virgil was half way down the hall to math, when he heard the first bell ring.
Oh no! He can't be late now!!!
He started speed walking down the hall to his class, and all he could think about was being late and getting detention on his first day! He walked as fast as he could, while contemplating all the possible outcomes of being late, like detention, principles office, getting yelled at by the teacher, etc. he was so caught up in thought that he couldn't even see where he was going anymore! He just kept walking and walking and walking and- THUD!
Virgil tripped over someone's shoe and dropped all his notebooks. He got somewhat off the ground and started picking all his books off the floor,
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry! Here, let me help you!"
Roman got down and started picking up Virgil's books.
"Th-thanks I-I-I'm sorry"
They both stood up and Roman handed him his books. Roman extended his hand for a handshake.
"Roman." He said, casually. Virgil shook his hand lightly, one hand still holding the books, "I'm, uuuh, Virgil." Virgil turned around and walked strait to math, making sure not to look up from the ground. Roman watched Virgil walk away and blushed, then looked over at his friend, Mike, who had just shot him a weird look.
"What, he was kinda cute!" Roman defended himself from the glare. Mike laughed. "Come on, we have to get to chemistry!"—————
After school, Virgil was sitting on a bench next to the school flag. Patton had already gone home, and he was enjoying the muffled noise of all the kids outside the school chatting.
Roman had felt TERRIBLE for tripping that adorable emo, So he quickly ran to Virgil, to apologize once more.
"Hey!" Roman cried out to catch Virgil's attention. He was determined to apologize for the accident and he wasn't going to give up until he did. Virgil felt a rush of anxiety fall down his spine, cause someone unfamiliar was TALKING TO HIM! A breath of panic left his mouth, and he stood up, implying that he heard him.
"Listen, I'm really sorry for tripping you earlier, it's been bugging me all day!" Virgil chuckled. "It's no big deal, Princy." Virgil looked on the back of his football jacket that had his last name, Prince, on it. "Now is this all you came to talk to me about? Cause I tripped and fell. It didn't really effect you or me." He shot a smirk and an eyebrow raise at Roman. They started to walk to the sidewalk.
"Well, I guess I could let you believe that I wanted to talk to you again, cause I thought you were cute, but I'm not confirming anything." He said, looking up and avoiding eye contact. They stopped walking and finally looked at each other. "Well I could let you believe that I think you're pretty adorable yourself, but I'm not confirming anything." Virgil crossed his arms. He had to look up at Princy, he was like three inches taller that him! Roman furrowed his eyebrows.
"Hey can I call my mom on your phone? Mine died earlier today and I need to tell her I'm walking home today." Virgil shrugged off the obvious lie in his voice, and gave him his phone.
"Just don't look through my photos. Ok?"Roman ignored him.
"Damn, so many screenshots of Brendon Urie." Roman chuckled.
"Okay, you said you were calling your Mom." Virgil shot Princy a playfully upset look, then laughed.
"You have a cute laugh!" Roman exclaimed, not looking up from the phone. He handed the phone back.
"I thought you were gonna call your Mom?" Virgil asked confused.
"I changed my mind!" Roman waved goodbye as he began to walk to his house. He waved back, even knowing that Roman could not see it.
"Bye!"
He said quietly, as Virgil began to walk home too.A-N: hi ik I'm a crappy writer so I'm sorry if I made ur brain bleed I've never done a real book before I only wrote a few one shots that I never posted soo ya.
