Chapter 10: Auditions

And NOW-

The time has come-

For our favorite characters to SING!!

I told my friend in my sleep she could
Use my phone to read Wattpad and she signed me out of my account and I forgot my password so I'm sorry for the wait.

I come back and I have like a gazillion notifications and over 7k reads to thank you all so much

I didn't even expect to get over 100 reads so this really means a lot to me 🖤

Ok now back to your originally scheduled programming-

Roman's POV:

       I walked down the hall with Amara, probably sprinting to get to the auditorium. The play auditions are finally here! At this point I'm basically skipping with glee and Amara was struggling with keeping up. Not my PROUDEST moment but still pretty fun.

We approached the auditorium doors and my heart started to race with excitement. Something about the rush of singing and acting on stage just makes me elated.

How on EARTH have people not figured out I'm gay yet.

Me and Amara quietly walked in and took our seats, trying out best not to disrupt the people preparing for their audition. About five minutes later Virgil, Patton, and Melony walked in and sat on the opposite side of the room. Things have been kinda weird between me and Verge since the whole... Leo incident... but I'm REALLY excited to hear him sing! Something about a guy with talent just really brings out the romantic in me ;)

       About Ten minutes later a man wearing a rainbow scarf and a Steven Universe shirt walked in and sat in the middle of the stage.

"Hey guys gals and non-binary pals!! I'm Mr. Thomas and I'm your new drama teacher this year! As you all know we're doing our own school production of the greatest showman this year so let's get started with auditions! When I call your name, please come up on stage, state the role your auditioning for, then the required audition songs and/or lines for that character! Have fun!"

My hearts pounding with anticipation, I can't wait!

"First up, David Aaron"

He called the names one by one and kids lines up to sing their ballets and read their monologues. I awaited and the first to be called in our friend group is...

"Amara Love, please come to stage!"

She waltzed up on stage like it was nothing and proudly stood in the spotlight.

"Hi I'm Amara Love and I'm auditioning for The Swedish Nightingale, Jenny Lind"

She read off a few of jenny Linds lines which she made look easy. After she was finished there was a minute of applause, and then it was time for her to sing...

"I'm trying to hold my breath..."

"Let it stay this way... cant let this moment end"

Everyone watched in awe as she filled the room with her magnificent voice... truly a nightingale at heart.

"All the shine of a thousand spotlights!"

"All the starts I steal from the night sky will never be enough..."

"Never be enough!"

It's like when she sang the room filled with joy and color. A spectacular performance that leaves everyone in amazement!

"These hand could hold the world but it'll never be enough! Never be enough!"

She finished her song and the room, filled applauded. Wouldn't expect anything less from her!

"Thank you Miss Amara! Next up is..."

A few more people went before he called the next person in our friend group.

"Melony Oscuridad! Please come up to stage!"

Yea short chapter I know sorry I haven't been up to date on my posting as I said before I got logged out of my account and I promise I'm going to be posting more regularly

If I don't I really apologize but my family is going though yet another unfortunate time and I'm really gonna try!
