Srry about the pic being down for a while it somehow got deleted and then the phone that had the drawing got stolen and it wasn't brought to my attention until earlier so I had to draw it in my new style. Anyways that's what Melony looks like what do u guys think?
Melony's POV:Last night Virgil texted me that dad was home and that he was drunk. When he's drunk it usually doesn't effect me, and When he does hurt me, it's never intentional. Like, maybe he'll accidentally push me over, or knock me down the stairs, or cut me with a shard of a beer glass, but never on purpose. Virgil, on the other hand, he hurts BAD. And ever since Virgil came out as gay, he's been especially hard on him, which is why I've been hiding the fact that I'm Pan-sexual for about three years now.
I got to the school about an hour ago, and I'm still waiting to see Virgil walk through the front doors of the school. I walked over to the window to see if there was any sign of Virgil, when u saw a bubbly blond boy standing in the courtyard talking to my friends. It was Patton! Virgil usually stays at his house on nights like that, so maybe he'll know where he is.
I slowly approached the usually bubbly boy. He was wearing some grey jeans, a baby blue polo shirt, and the grey cat hoodie I got him a couple years ago for Christmas loosely around his neck. He was talking to my friends, Amara, Darla, and Kayla.
Amara was wearing a ripped pink t-shirt, lavender jeans, high heels that were the same color as her shirt, and a red leather jacket with gold trim, that she got from her cheerleading team.
Darla was wearing a white loose silk tank top with silver embroidered flowers at the top, a grey scarf, some white vans, and a short baby blue skirt.
Kayla was wearing a black button up, a dark blue tie with purple stripes, khaki pants, and nice expensive looking black heels.
They were the only ones who really understood me besides Virgil, so I didn't feel very uncomfortable running up to them all.
"Hey guys!" I yelled while panting from running all the way to the far side of the courtyard.
"Mel! We were just looking for you!" Amara replied, just as I reached them.
"Salutations, Melony." Kayla said with a small smile but with her usual monotone voice.
"HII MEL!" Darla yelled as she practically jumped on top of me and hugged me. "You didn't show up at school yesterday, so we thought you ditched. But we couldn't find you today so we decided to ask around!"
I don't know how Darla is always so happy. It gets to the point where it scares me.
"Hey guys! Have you seen Virgil anywhere?"
Amara's POV:
"Guys! There she is!" I interrupted Kay and Dari's conversation between Patton as I saw Mel running toward us, seemingly breathless. She looked like her usual emo self. She was wearing a black and grey striped cropped top, a black-ish grey zip up hoodie that she never took off, some ripped black skinny jeans, and black checkered vans. She wore black eyeshadow with a blue cut crease, and black lipstick.
She got to us and we exchanged our hugs and hellos, and she ended up losing her balance when Dari jumped on her, and then we got to the question that we hear so little that when she does ask us, it worries us all,
"Hey guys, have you seen Virgil anywhere?"
You see, Mel was ALWAYS with Virgil in the mourning, though none of us really know why. So when she doesn't know where he is, we know she's about to loose it.
Luckily, this has happened enough times before that we know how to handle it.
"We haven't seen him yet, but we can help you find him!" I offered, letting the others go along with it. "Okay! Let's go guys!" Dari said enthusiastically. We all ran over to the brick floored area in front of the school. And thank GOD Virgil was walking in at that exact same time, otherwise Mel was gonna have another one of her breakdowns.
"VIRGIL!" Dari yelled and jumped on Virgil, hugging him. "We didn't get a chance to say hi yesterday!" Dari yelled, even though she was hugging him. "Hey guys!" Virgil waved at us with one hand while hugging Dari with the other. "Okay, I think it would be adequate if you were to let him go, Darla." Kay said in a nerdy monotonous tone. "Also, greetings, Virgil." I chuckled. "Yeah! You don't wanna crush him on his second day!" Kay rolled her eyes. "Amara, it would be physically impossible for Darla to admit enough strength to compress Virgil's bones." She crossed her arms. "Why do you have to take everything I say literally?" I said, shaking my head while looking at her.
Dari finally let got of Virge with about fifty minutes to spare before class started. So we walked to what we liked to call our "depression tree" (because it was a large old dead tree that looked depressed) and sat in our usual spots. I sit in the highest branch cause I'm the only one who actually wants to put in the extra two seconds to get the top. Virgil sat a few branches down from me, Patton sat in a spot in the direct middle of the tree where there was a little space that fit him almost perfectly, Kay and Dari sat at the trunk, Dari making Kay watch more funny cat videos, and Mel had a little crawl space inside the tree that she doesn't let anyone else see. She just pops her head out of the door that she ripped from the tree and that she now uses for entry.
"Why are you making me watch these pointless videos?" I heard Kay ask. "Cause they're funny!" Dari snapped back jokingly. I laughed to myself and looked back to my phone.
All of us secretly started at Virgil. We all could clearly see the bruises under his foundation, and he didn't even try to cover up the cut. But we all learned to pretend like we don't see them, cause am we know that he won't give anyone a straight answer.
It was about half an hour before school started and we didn't know what we wanted to do. I scanned the field, looking for something, anything, that could possibly Start a conversation or something. It took me a second, but then I realized that jock from the football team Roman Prince heading our way. He was wearing his red and gold leather jacket that they passed out to everyone that is either on the football team or cheering for it, white ripped jeans, a yellow shirt, and red and yellow adidas.
I didn't know why he could possibly be over here, he's gay and so are all of us, and we haven't bothered him or any of his friends. Maybe about football tryouts and cheerleading pointers? No, that wasn't until next week. Patton has made it very clear that he wasn't looking for a relationship cause he recently had a nasty breakup, and Virgil, well, Virgil... . There's actually no excuse for Virgil. Wait... . Roman Prince, the hot, popular, jock, was coming over to talk to Virgil.
DAMN VIRGIL YOU SCORED!
Ok, I know I haven't posted in a while and I'm sorry I promise I will post more frequently but school just started and I've had A LOT of homework to do. Thanks for being patient! Baii!
