The damage had been done. Matthew had been murdered, and it was time for Leader and the Spears to make a decision on how to deal with it. Leader returned the next day to the office, and had called up his father and brother to discuss.

Leader entered his office, popping the collar of his large, black jacket, and fixing his black and white tie. On the large couch to the left of the door sat his brother and father, having a smoke and laughing with each other. When they saw Leader, they both stood up, putting out their cigarettes, and giving him a hug. They came to sit at his desk, while he sat in the large black leather seat at the head of the desk.

"So. The Campadra hit us, and they hit us hard. We need to fix this, and we need to fix this now." Leader was as serious as ever. Raphael took out another cigarette. "Well, we're going to need to pay them back, right? I mean the guy was important to us, he was a top hitman. Not to mention an old friend."  Luca nodded.

"He's right. We can wipe them out in a second, you know. We have members all around Manhattan we can use."

"Yeah, we should. However, wiping 'em out will only cause problems. Not to mention a big hit to our profits. No, that's not how I'm dealing with this. Luca, call up one of his capos, or Paul himself. Actually, better idea, call their consigliere, Gianluca Heffe. Tell him to set up a meeting, him and Paul, me and you. No guards, no guns, just us. If he makes any moves, we do him like I did Carlo."

Luca and Raphael looked at each other, then Luca stood up. "Alright, I'll go make the call. We have his number in the database, right?" Leader nodded.

"Alright, with that out of the way, I need to deal with the Musetti problem, now. Dad, any news? Did they figure out it was us yet?" Leader went from one thought to another faster than a bullet.

"No. They're still investigating, but they're probably gonna call it off, now that it's been over a month." Leader looked relieved.

"That's good. Wow, a whole month. That means that it's been a month since the Carlo hit as well. This shits been going on for a month. Oh yeah, did they end up making Joseph boss? I know Bobby's consigliere got killed like two weeks before him."

"Yeah, he's boss and Rickie is Underboss. They got two new guys as captains, I don't know much about them though." Raphael said.

"Alright, go down and get us a meeting with Joseph and Rickie. Me and you'll go down and talk about new deals." Raphael nodded, and got up, leaving the room.

"Eh Fran, you gonna deal with that issue with the Monarch Gang in Illinois? They've been a problem for our branch office down there." Leader got out of his chair and popped his sleeves.

"Yeah, I'm planning on sending Marcus Kalmaste there with someone else, probably Alessandro, to go deal with them. I'll figure it out after I deal with the Council's problems." Raphael gave Leader a hand shake, and then headed out the door. Leader sat back down, and made a call to the Illinois branch of the Trident, lead by Lorenzo Mariani.

"Hello?" A deep, raspy voice answered, sounding slightly annoyed. "Hi Lorenzo, it's me. I heard you were having problems down there." Lorenzo whispered something to another person in the room, then got back on the phone.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah, I mean we always have problems, but this one is a serious pain in the ass. You think you can come down here someday? I'd like to fix this, because it's only getting worse." He still sounded annoyed, and Leader was getting annoyed as well.

"Is there a problem there? You sound pissed off." Lorenzo took a deep breath.

"Yeah, it's nothing. Sorry." Leader was skeptical.
