Kyle was trapped behind a door, and was gunning down enemies as they appeared. Hailey was finishing up her enemies on Floor 13, waiting for her chance to see if her target was on the highest floor. Cole was still locked in combat like Hailey, but after a close confrontation with Captain Sal of the Trident, he heard a loud explosion, and what came from it changed the entire battle.

On the top floor, Marcus had learned of Kyle's location, and told an ally to throw a smoke bomb they had taken from the armoury. The agent threw it into the room and smoke filled not just Kyle's room, but the entire hallway. Marcus and his crew then took out large translucent masks with glowing X eyes and a mouth with stitches on it. They quickly traveled into the room right in front of Kyle's, and began shooting at the door, slowly ripping it apart and getting closer to hitting him. He put on goggles that allowed him to see their outlines better, but still could barely see. The masks the Trident agents had on were designed to be able to see through smoke, and were made by a military equipment manufacturer in Russia. The masks allowed them to see Kyle, and Marcus was at the back of the room, aiming his grenade launcher attachment at the middle of the room. Kyle finally realized he had to move and so he threw the door forward, which the agents shot at, and then rolled into the middle of the room and shot the agents threw the door. When Marcus noticed this, with a large smile, he launched a grenade. It traveled through the sky narrowly dodging the load of bullets. It hit Kyle on the head, and with that contact, before he even knew what it was, the grenade exploded, destroying the room, and him.

Dante quickly got a call from Cole, who sounded quite afraid; something Dante never thought he would hear.

"Cole, what is it? Did something happen?" Dante said, afraid of what news Cole could have.

Cole was looking at the back room right underneath where Kyle was.

"Uh, Commander, you're not gonna like this." Cole stated. "There was an explosion in the top room and the roof caved in and, well, there's a body, and I think it's Lieutenant Kyles." Cole was walking towards the battered and blackened body, where the face was barely recognizable. He knew it was Kyle because of his pants, which had a cut on the left knee, something Cole did himself by accident while sparring.

Dante was furious. "Someone, see if you can connect with Kyle's earpiece." At first Dante sounded angry but as he carried on with the sentence, his tone lowered and he sounded hopeless. They attempted to connect, but there was no connection at all; his earpiece had been destroyed.

"Cole, call in your bomber squad, see if they're done. If they are, then finish up and retreat. I'll get someone to tell Hailey the same." Dante said as he signalled to a worker to call Hailey.

Hailey was on the 13th Floor, and she recognized Lorenzo's face as she had two officers under her command watch his house, since he was a well known high profile member of the Trident and could be useful to the operation they were on. They never brought him in because they couldn't trust him if they let him go, and Dante didn't like to murder informants. She got angry, and thought she could ask him the question she'd been holding in this whole time.

She flew over the bar and shot two more agents, before appearing in front of Lorenzo, sweeping his leg and holding him down, putting her rifle to his head. The agents on his side had finally all been wiped out, and there was no way for him to get reinforcements, as there was no one really even left alive. He dropped his gun and put his hands up.

"Are you Lorenzo Netarre? Are you one of Leader's captains?" Hailey was yelling, her eyes filled with rage. Lorenzo knew she already knew the answer to the question, and gave up on trying to lie.

"Y-yeah, I'm Lorenzo. How the hell do you know my-" Before he could finish Hailey shot him in the leg. He began screaming, but she couldn't care less.
