During Lucas and Julians usual school journey, Julian noticed Lucas seemed slightly uncomfortable and nervous about something. He saw as the boy kept rubbing his palms against his jeans.

This went on for about ten minutes of the journey and it was only until they got off the subway Lucas finally spat out what he wanted to. "There's something you should know about me."

Julian paused and stared at the boy intrigued. "You're faking being a cowboy from Texas?" He questioned teasingly.

When he noticed Lucas' serious expression his smile fluttered as he told his best friend to speak. "I did something bad in Texas which got me kicked out of school and held back a year." He let out a heavy sigh once he finished.

The dark haired boy raised an eyebrow. "Did you rape someone?"

"What no?! I would never!"

"Did you do creepy stuff with Little kids?"

"What the hell Julian?! No!"

Julian then proceeded to shrug. "I don't care then. It's not a big deal." He grinned swinging an arm around Lucas.

This was music to Lucas' ears, he was so nervous their friendship would be over. "Really? Do you think I should tell the girls?" He questioned.

"Not really. It's not anybody's business expect from yours." Julian shrugged his shoulders again.

Lucas nodded, realising his best friend was right before he changed the subject. "You going to the school dance?" Lucas questioned.

"I dunno maybe." Julian dismissed the question easily. It's not something he cared about much. "You gonna ask Riley?"

Lucas' smile fluttered as he sighed. "I don't think she'd say yes to be honest." He frowned causing Julian to give him a 'Seriously?!' facial expression. "You gonna ask Maya?" Lucas asked as they walked into the school.

The dark hair boy raised an eyebrow. "No. Why would I ask Maya?" He questioned, his voice having a hint of confusion.

"Oh, you know." Lucas sent the boy a teased smile but Julian continued to stare at him with a blank expression.

"No I don't." He frowned, wondering why he would ask Maya. Lucas decided to drop the subject by saying a quick 'never mind' as he shook his head.

The boys then proceeded to walk to their lockers and saw Riley and Maya. "Hey guys!" Lucas waved while Julian did a short nodded greeting.

"Lucas!" Riley raised her hand in the hair.

"Hand." Maya told her.

"Lucas!" Riley said loudly.

"Grown-up voice." Maya instructed.

The brunette then proceeded to walk up to Lucas. "Lucas, hello." Riley said with her 'grown-up' voice.

"Hey."

"Hey, yeehaw. You going to Tick-Tock Shake Your Body Time, cause, you know, it's not a square dance, so, not gonna be a whole lot of do-si-doing." Maya said in a horrible southern accent.

"Well then, I'm sure I'll have no idea what to do and you can make fun of me." Lucas smirked.

"You're not playing this right." Maya points at him.

"Oh, well that's certainly not my intention. I'll try harder next time." Lucas puts down her hand.

"I will break you." Maya threatened.

"Well, if that's what makes you happy, then. I certainly can't wait for it,ma'am." He tips an imaginary hat causing Maya to shudders in annoyance and turn away.
