It's been almost a year since the Demogorgon was killed, leading right into Rachel Hopper's senior year. While her classmates are struggling to submit college applications, she's sending in actress resumes so she can achieve some level of stardom before she heads off to another school. For the first time in years, Rachel feels like she's found her place in Hawkins just as she's about to leave.
The girl with a numbered tattoo on her arm is now living in her house and is desperate to get in contact with her friends. Chief Hopper is insistent on her staying hidden while Rachel brings her things from the outside world, but she understands the girl's pain. Eleven helps Rachel work to control her newly found powers, but when other-dimensional threats start to reappear in the sleepy town, their new life is put on hold to save Will once and for all.
