(13) Does Anyone Like Kat?

Nightwing's POV-

Kat comes inside.

"Hello pretty bird." she coos.

"Sorry, I got an beautiful girlfriend already." I said pushing her away from me

Suddenly, Zoey's face pops up in my mind. I needed to call her.

Kat pulled a face and rolled her eyes. Similar to what Aphrodite would do when she is annoyed. If you look and study both of them hard they are like twins.

"How about you stop flirting with a taken guy and tell how the hell you found us." Aphrodite said walking in

Kat sobers up and looks at Aphrodite. I don't think no one could see the sadness and regretful eyes but me but she twisted up her face evilly and smirked.

"I have my resources." Kat said

Aphrodite rolled her eyes and looked at me sympathetically.

"Sorry you have to deal with her. Just make sure she's ok, please?" Aphrodite asked

"Sure Aphrodite." I said nodding at her

Aphrodite smiled at me and left. I turned and got straight to business.

"You know, its obvious that you love Aphrodite." I said

Surprisingly she didn't deny or lie.

"She's my baby sister. Of course I love her."

"Your father is dead now. No point in running Cadmus now." I said checking for wounds

"I know."

We stayed silent until Kat spoke again.

"Where the my sister's speedy redhead?" She asked

"Gone."

She seem to get the message and shuts up again. I finished my checkup. She has two burns and three bruises. I walked her out to the living room and we sat on the couches. I sat next to Aphrodite.

"She has two burns and three bruises." I said

Aphrodite nodded and said thank you.

"Now lets try this again. Do you remember anything from before you passed out?" Aphrodite asked

"Even if I did, why would I tell you?" Kat snapped

"Because whatever happened to you seemed to have an big impact on you. Due to the burns and bruises. Oh and lets not forget the people with very big guns who chased you." Aphrodite snapped back

The two glared at each other for what seemed like years. From this encounter you would think these two were mortal enemies not sisters.

Kat broke eye contact and huffed.

"Ali come with me. Guys, stay here. With her." Aphrodite said before walking out with Ali.

"Where are we going?" Ali says in a whine almost, but a bit a curiosity.

Once they were gone, I turn to Max and say, "Watch her for a couple of minutes?"

I had just notice he was still wearing the jacket.

"And take off the jacket while your at it, you don't want your wings to cramp."

"Fine." He mumbles and I steer Roy into another room.

"What?" He asks.

"It's about Ali." I say and he nods. "Doesn't she seem different to you?"

"Yeah, I've been worried about her."
