(14) Who's That?

Max's POV-
I was in the training room when Nightwing called me.
"Hey Max. I kind of could use Phoenix now."
"On it, send me your location." I say.
I get ready as his location comes in. I fly over.
Nightwing was fighting six jokers. I go help him when a streak takes them al out. The streak stops in an alley. I swear he look exactly like Wally.
"I'm trying to stay whelmed but that looks like Wally." We run after him but the streak was gone.
"But Wally is dead. We all saw it." I said
Nightwing and I shared an look.
"Hey, we need back up!" Aphrodite said calling us
"Where?" Nightwing asked
"My house. We have Felicity Smoak here too and she has no powers." Aphrodite yelled
Nightwing hopped on his bike while I flew to Aphrodite's house. Aphrodite was her suit fighting off some evil Alantians. Ali was on the other side protecting a woman who I guess was Felicity Smoak.
"Phoenix! Get Felicity out of here!" Aphrodite yelled.
I swoop her up bridal style.
"Hello." I say.
"H-hi" She stutters.
She didn't seem nervous about the attack, just nervous of being in the air.
"Scared of heights?" I asked
"Very." She answered shakily
I sat her down on the roof.
"Are you going to ok up here?" I asked
"I should be."
"Yell if anything happens. I'll come." I answered soaring back into the sky
I came back down to Red Hood, Nightwing, and AC.
"Did Felicity see you change?" I yelled at Aphrodite
"Yeah. She's friends with Green Arrow, she can keep an secret" Red Hood answered kicking an Alantian out.
Ali comes out finally changed in her out fit. I haven't seen her in a while with a mask on but she had one on.
"Why did you just change?" I ask.
"I want to have a secretive life." She says and we fight back to back.
Suddenly an streak again knocks everyone out. We all stand dumbfounded as we watch the enemy lay on the ground unconscious. Aphrodite had a kiss on her cheek.
"What happened to you?" I asked
Aphrodite turned to see us. Her eyes were widen and her lips were slightly apart.
"That streak. It....kissed my cheek." Aphrodite said
Aphrodite mumbled something after that but I didn't catch it. Suddenly Felicity was in front of us. Her blonde hair was wild and her glasses kinda crooked.
"Uh, what happened? Was that Flash?" Felicity asked
"You know Flash?" Ali asked
"Knew him before he was even the Flash." Felicity said
"Why does it seem like almost every hero trusts you?" Ali asked
"Because they do. I really good at keeping secrets." She answered
"Well, anyway. That's the same streak that helped us in the alley." Nightwing said
"It looked like Wally." Aphrodite said
Ali turned and put an hand on her shoulder.
"Sorry, but that couldn't be Wally. We saw him die." Ali said
"I know." Aphrodite answered.
Red Arrow runs over. "Hi Felicity." he says. Ali groans and walks away.
"Uh... did I do something wrong?" Felicity asks. I was listening to their conversation. All of us but Ali was in a circle.
"No," Roy says. "AC wants a fight. She wants a to fight over something."
"She said that all heroes like me." Felicity says.
"Ali wants to be different but wants to fit in. She can be strange sometimes."
Aphrodite goes after Ali. I follow then the rest of them but father back.
I hear Ali crying.
"I wish I could've saved him." Ali cries. "I hate seeing you sad."
Aphrodite hugs her.
"AC." Roy says nudging Ali's leg.
"Arrow wants you to train and I think now would be a good time." Ali stands up and takes Roy's hand. Felicity follows them.
"She's seriously not okay." Nightwing says.
"Let her be. We have to find out what that streak is." Aphrodite said
Zoey Pov
I stood at the ocean's shore. Nightwing put the whole team on duty. Apparently there had been alot of attacks so we're watching out.
I call Nightwing.
"Is everything okay?" he asks
"Yeah. I just wanted to call you. We haven't talked for a while."
"I know. How are you?" He asked
"Fine. You?"
"Good."
There was comforting silence. Well, it was until some sea monsters came out of freaking no where.
"Uh, I need back up. Sea monsters just came out of nowhere." I said running to avoid their attacks
"On the way, Silver. And be careful." Nightwing said
"Oh course."
I hung up and ran. These monster were attacking and eating everything. I grabbed an little girl who was in the monsters path. I sat her down next to her mother. I saw Ali, Aqualad, and Artemis show up. I ran over.
"Long time no see." Ali said as she hugged me
"Sure enough. What are those things?" I asked.
"Sea Urchins." Ali says as Aqualad starts opening his mouth.
He smiles, proud of her.
I always forget Ali's almost a year older than most of us. She acts younger or older.
"How do we stop it?" Artemis asks.
"Uh...you can only kill it." Aqualad says.
Ali's face expression drops.
"Ali-" I start.
"We aren't killing it!" She turns to him angry. "We don't kill animals." Ali's eyes were stone cold.
"Look, I'm all for save the animals but if the only way to stop it is to kill them then we have no choice." Artemis said
"We are not killing them." Ali stated
"Hey, they look an bit over sized. How about instead of killing them, we shrink them down to size. I'm pretty sure M'gann can do that." I said trying to reason.
Ali nods but still unsure.
"I promise." I reassure.
"M'gann, get down to the beach. We need you. Yeah, bring Conner too." I said pressing an finger to my earpiece
"Well, we need to get them back into the ocean so lets get started." Aqualad said
He and Ali ran towards some sea urchins and started pushing them towards the sea.
"I can't believe you reasoned with her." Artemis said
"Well, she's right. They're animals and we kill evil things not animals." I said.
"She seems different, kind of like how we met her, but more different." Artemis continues. "I'm afraid she might go crazy."
We didn't look at each other, just started at what the others were doing.
"How do you mean?"
"She sees things different from us, it can make a person go crazy."
"No," I say. "Ali's tough." I assure myself.
I was kinda scared for Ali. Ever since Aphrodite did that undercover, Wally dying, and these things going on with her parents, she has acted differently.
Suddenly, all the sea urchins were down and there was an streak zooming around. Everyone was left bewildered while wasn't. That streak. I knew that streak like it was the back of my hand. It was like mine only yellow and red. It moved too fast for others to see but I saw perfectly.
It was my twin brother.
Aphrodite POV-
I took Felicity back home because I don't think Oliver would appreciate me hurting a close friend of his. I get a call.
"Hello?" I ask without looking who it was.
"Hi!" Zoey says happily like she had a good secret.
"What's up?" I ask.
"Oh," Her voice fades to sadness. "We need help."
"Be right there." I say but a gust of wind was behind me. I look back.
"Here." Zoey says. I laugh.
We land to where the others were. Ali was pacing back and forth with tears in her cheeks. There was a medical crew here watching her.
"AC," I say holding her shoulders to stop her.
I went to go look into her electric blue eyes, but only saw two glossy eye balls and two rainbow colored irises. She moved her eyes trying to see where I was but I was like a ghost.
"She's temporarily blinded." Roy says behind me.
"How did this happen?" I ask.
"It was my fault." Connor says.
"Superboy, this wasn't your fault, I never should have asked you-"
"They tried to go after the streak," Nightwing says. "AC held on to Superboy's back as he super jumped after the streak and AC look directly into the sun. It should have burnt out her eyes-"
"But I heal fast." Ali interrupts walking away. Roy goes to help her.
"Oh god. AC!" I said
"I can't see. I can't see. I CAN'T SEE!!!!" Ali yelled
Zoey stood like she knew something.
"We'll find the streak." Nightwing said
"I'll be back." Zoey said
She ran off, leaving everyone's hair wild.
"How long will she be like this?" I asked
"Couple of days if not an couple of weeks." One said
Ali groaned.
"The end of the freaking world could be tomorrow and I can't even see!!!!"
My phone rang again and I answered.
"I got the streak. Meet me at my house." Zoey said and hung up
I stared at my phone and blinked.
"Silver Bow got the streak. We have to get to her house." I said
"Ok. Um, M'gann can you do something about my eyes?" Ali asked pleadingly
"Um, ok sure." M'gann said
M'gann closed her eyes and pressed her fingers to Ali's temple. Suddenly Ali's changed back to electric blue.
"I can see." Ali yelled
"Temporarily." M'gann said
We all got to Zoey's house and walled in. Everyone stared at Zoey who stared at an blank screen.
"Zoey?" Ali asked
"Hey, guys. Um, here's the streak." She said
Zoey moved her hand slightly and someone walked out. Someone who made me cry for months. Someone I'm in love with. I gasped as tears tried to escape my eyes.
"Wally." I whimpered
