A Jori Story: After The Platinum Awards

Chapter 7 - First Date

Tori and Jade talked the whole travel back to Tori's house after school. They talked about what they liked and their goals and projects after they would've graduate from Hollywood Arts. They discovered to have more in common than what they thought, like the fact that both of them were thinking about attending a performing college in LA to continue to improve their acting and singing skills. Jade wanted to be a director one day while Tori was hoping to become a popstar but they were also both into acting and musicals. 

"Wait, Tori Vega wants to go to college?" Jade asked her surprised at some point

"Yeah, why, is it so strange?" Tori giggled

"No, I just... I mean you sang at the Platinum Awards. Didn't Mason Thornesmith promised you a deal after that, to record songs for Neutronium records?" Jade asked her

"Well, he never called me after my performance and I had not signed anything yet unfortunately. I was supposed to get that deal after my performance at the Awards but even though I was the one who sang in the end, he had originally replaced me with you, after I refused to obey his team that wanted me to keep acting like a complete gank... Remember? They gave me all those ridiculous outfits to wear"

Jade chuckled a little at the memory, nodding while Tori continued "Anyway, I guess after everything that happened, Mason wasn't obliged to keep his word and give me the deal he had originally promised me with his label." Tori told her with an hint of disappointment in her tone of voice and expression

"That prick... I thought he would have kept his word with you after seeing your performance..." Jade said shaking her head

Tori shrugged "Yeah, well, he didn't. But don't worry about it. I loved to perform in front of so many people... And you have been so nice to me that night. That's all that matters" she took Jade's hand in hers as the Goth smiled. 

"To hell with him. I'm sure an amazing singer like you will have tons of other opportunities" Jade told Tori reaching with hand to brush the other girl's thigh. 

Tori blushed at that placing her hand on Jade's "Thanks. I hope so." she said before looking up at the other girl with a curious expression "So, I have a question for you!" Tori said

"Shoot" 

"OK..." Tori looked a bit hesitant "Why did you use to... you know... hate me?" 

Jade smirked "Use to? Who says I stopped?" she teased her girlfriend 

"Yeah, I can see how much you still hate me, I mean you're just kissing me all the time since last night, afterall..." Tori said sticking her tongue out at her. 

"I know right you can totally see my hatred now more than ever" Jade said and both girls laughed before Tori playfully nudged the Goth girl's shoulder as she continued "But seriously, I never really hated you, I just couldn't really stand you" 

"Oh, that's a lot better!" Tori said sarcastic

Jade just kept chuckling

"Anyway, can you tell me, whyyy?" Tori asked with a fake hurt tone

"You know why Tori. I'm just a total bitch" Jade replied making Tori roll her eyes

"No you're not! You can be nice if you want. You proved it to me many times. Come on give me the truth!" the half Latina protested

Jade tucked a strand of hair behind her ear trying to hide her incoming blush "Well... I guess I was jealous cause you... you're so perfect and you have everything" 

"Oh please I don't have everything and I'm far from perfect" Tori immediately replied

"Yes you are! You have the look, the talent, the kindness and friends and a family who support you. You have people who care about you! And you should be grateful for it" Jade snapped at her.
