Chapter 19|| Hobby

Class has ended and I asked Ji-Hyun if she was ready to go to the practice room. We soon walk into the practice room. Ji-Hyun sits on the floor while I set up the music and soon start to dance.

After dancing for a while I decided to take a break. I walk over to Ji-Hyun and sit next to her.

Ji-Hyun asks, "Are you done practicing already?"

I shake my head, "No. I'm just taking a break."

I notice that she has one headphone on. I then ask what she was listening to. Ji-Hyun picks up the other headphone and passes it to me.

I then ask, "Is this a Kpop boy group?"

Ji-Hyun nods, "This is my favorite group their name is Stray Kids."

"Hmm I've never heard of them before. I never expected you to like Kpop."

Ji-Hyun asks, "Why not?"

I shrugged and replied, "I don't know. You just don't seem like the type to fangirl over guys I guess."

Ji-Hyun then hands me her phone, "Can you look up something for me on YouTube. I want to show you my favorite member dancing. He's really good, at least in my opinion, I don't know about you since you're like a pro."

I laugh, "I'm not a pro."

Ji-Hyun nudges me, "Sure."

I soon play the video that Ji-Hyun wanted to show me. It was of a guy dancing. I had to admit he was very good at dancing.

Once the video ended Ji-Hyun asked me, "So...what did you think? His name is Hyunjin and he's my bias. He's also around our age."

"He's really good...wait did you say he's around our age?"

Ji-Hyun nods and asks, "Why?"

I then ask, "Is he perhaps the same person that's on your wallpaper."

I then notice Ji-Hyun get embarrassed, "Yeah. I forgot that you saw my wallpaper when you gave me your phone number. I'm so embarrassed."

"No it's fine. I thought he was your boyfriend."

Ji-Hyun shakes her head, "No way. I don't have a boyfriend."

It then gets silent for a moment until I say, "I'll perform this dance for you when you can see again."

"Thank you Jimin. But I don't think it will be as good as Hyunjin."

"Are you kidding me, I'm a better dancer than him."

Ji-Hyun laughs and says, "Sure. Anyways thank you for being such a good friend Jimin."

Did I just get friend zoned? But at least Ji-Hyun trusts me. Being friends with her is better than nothing.

I then ask, "Do you have any hobbies Ji-Hyun?"

Ji-Hyun sighs, "I did."

"What was it"? I notice that she seems a bit hesitant to tell me. I then say, "It's fine if you don't want to tell me."

"No it's fine. I use to draw actually."

I then get excited, "Really! You should show me some of your drawings."

"I have my sketchbook in my backpack. You can take it out and look at the drawings if you would like."

I take out her sketchbook and flipped through her drawings and I'm amazed by her skills.

"These are amazing. Are these people you draw idols? You should draw me next."

Ji-Hyun sighs and says, "Sure. And yes, they are idols."

I then ask her, "Is everything okay Ji-Hyun"? Before Ji-Hyun answers I see the last drawing, which seems to be incomplete. I then ask her, "Are you currently working on a new drawing?"

Ji-Hyun says, "That was the last drawing I did before I got into the car accident. I haven't had the courage to pick up a pencil to draw ever since the accident."

I then ask, "Why not?"

"I'm blind. I can't see anything. How am I suppose to draw? It's impossible to draw without my vision."

I then lean over and hug her, "I'm sorry for asking."

"Not it's fine. I needed to tell someone. You want to know why I still carry it."

"Why?"

"Because I'm waiting for the day I'll gain the courage to draw again, but it's useless because I'm too much of a coward."

"Don't say that about yourself Ji-Hyun." I grab her shoulders and tell her, "You are not a coward. Things will get better trust me". I also added, "You also don't need your hands to create amazing art."

Ji-Hyun shakes her head, "No I do Jimin."

"No you don't. Your eyes don't make your art but your hands."

This chapter is pretty long compared to previous chapters. Also, I just had to mention Stray Kids because they're amazing. I think this book will be ending soon. Their might be around 6 more chapters. I'm not sure yet. Like always, thank you for reading until next time.
