"Alright,where to now?" Travis asked when we got to the red light.

"What time is it?" I pulled into church's parking lot.
"5:12" Raymond replied.

"I gotta be at the trap for 7 and at Rahlyn's before morning,so we going back to the hospital after I get some food." I got in the drive thru line. "For myself so don't even ask" I laughed.

"Oooo you gone get it"

"Welcome to church's , order when you ready." The female said through the speaker.

"Do y'all still got that smokehouse chicken?"

"Yes we do"

"Mane get me one" Travis said from the backseat.
I shook my head yeah
"Let me get one of those with a coke"

"Mane you a whole bitch for that" he yelled causing Raymond to laugh.

"Will that be all?"
"Yeah"
"Your total is $6.89,please pull up to the first window"

"I swear you can't take black people no where." I pulled up to the first window.

"That's you! I said get me some food and you did not." He slapped my head "I'm telling mama when I go see her"

"Bitch! I kno- oh damn" I saw the girl waiting for me to pay. I handed her $7. "Keep the change"
I pulled up and got my food.

"Now I know yo bitch ass ain't hit me." I turned around "wait till I get out of this damn truck. Ima beat yo ass"

"I know y'all ain't fighting over that sweet ass chicken. Now I should beat y'all ass." Raymond shook his head.

"But on the real though, go to Golden Chicken. I want some rolls" Raymond said

"Aight" I headed towards there while eating a piece of my biscuit.

"But you gone do what he say huh? Ooo you a bitch ." Trav laughed.

Back at the hospital

"Knock knock! We got fooooodddd" Travis said as he walked in.

"Barely,nigga almost dropped it tryna steal some." I sat beside Rahlyn and opened my food.

"That shit stinks." She mugged me. " it don't" I mugged her ass back.

"Here you go sis" Raymond handed out everyone's food.

"Where mine?" I looked up. They laughed at me. " oh y'all niggas stingy."

"Nigga you got food. Now shut yo ass up and eat." We all towards the door. I saw my mama. Standing on her own"

I jumped up and ran to her,tripping over stuff in the process. " mama" I hugged her tight. Knowing that my mama was in the hospital cause of me was a battle that I had to fight every day.

"Move nigga, this my mama too" Travis pushes me and then hugged ma. " mama he been being mean to me. He wasn't even feeding me. I'm Malnourished." He faked cried.

"Move." Kenny hugged mama. " Ms.Luckett, I been babysitting your kids for quite some time now,and uh you owe me $5,670.50. How would you like to pay?" She laughed.

"With food" she answered. "Deal"

"Hey mama" Rahlyn overly happy self walked over smiling"

"My babygirl,come here" ma held her arms open and every boy in this room mouth dropped. They hugged

"Wa-wait a damn minute." I held my finger up.

"I know you did not mama" I pulled rahlyn off my mama. "She ain't even yours"

"Baby,are you jealous?" My mama asked
"Damn right I'm jealous"

"Awe come here son."
"No,I will not." I sat down and started eating my food.

Rahlyn Brewster

"Awe my baby is mad." I pulled at his ears before whispering " you better come see me tonight,no interruptions." He chokes and looked at me. I winked.

"So mama when did you get discharged?" I asked.

"A few minutes ago. I asked to call Trell but they told me that he was already here. And that brings me here." She shrugged and sat down.

"Who is this little angel?" She put on hand sanitizer before walking over to Jahleel's bassinet.

"That's my nephew,my brother Jahkeem son,whom you have not met." I explained

"He's so cute." She ran her hand over his hair "and got a lot of hair"

"Thank you," he smiled " this is my girlfriend Miyraah" They shook hands.

"I wonder what your babies will look like Rahlyn."
"Can I hold him?" She asked,once she had her approval she had him in her arms at the closet chair.

"I want some more grandbabies" she said in a serious tone. "Have y'all seen Jaylen? I miss his little one."

"No...." I haven't seen him since before Khy was kidnapped.

"Have y'all?" I asked the boys.

"No" they all responded and I stood up pacing and thinking.

"What's wrong?" Latrell must have noticed the look on my face. I looked at him, but no words were shared.

"Rahlyn"

"Do you think that Jaylen could be behind this? I mean, when khy went missing he did to. When she was found,he was around but was shady. When he would leave for some time, some 'smoke' shit happened. That night we was shot at,he was supposed to be coming over with Ray when he came but never did." I explained "don't you think a bit weird,off?"

You could tell that he was thinking,hard.

"Ima look into it but for now,let's enjoy time with the family. While we can" I nodded and went to go back to sit but he grabbed my arm.

I looked back and he had a little box in his hand.

I'm putting this out now so that y'all won't have to wait anymore. It not completed cause I just lost my cousin to a car and I know that I won't be in the mood or right state in mind to write for a good while. So I hope that you enjoy and that you stay safe 💕
