It was an casual cold day in Harlem . Early December which was your girl birthday month! Today was that day I was turning that big 23! I was scrolling through Instagram feed when I was interrupted my an incoming FaceTime from my best friend .
"Heey birthday biitch !!"my best friend Kylie yelled through the phone , with her loud self.
"Chill khy ,damn I'm right here" I said walking to my vanity
"What you doing tonight for your big 23?"khy asked
"To be honest,I was just going to bake a cake and eat ice cream , you know my 'family' ain't doing shit for a me" I replied
"No the fuck you ain't , yea you can bake a cake and eat ice cream but we going out tonight" she argued
" No I ain't it's freezing out that door fuck you mean , my black ass is only stepping out that Door to get my cake and ice cream "
We argued for like 10 more minutes till I gave up and agreed
"Fine fine I'll go " I said holding my hands up in defeat
"Yay we going to that club on 12th " she finished
"Alright"
We ended our call and I grabbed an jacket so I can go run errands for my cake
I was grabbing the last of my ingredients when a scent of cologne filled my nostrils. It wasn't that cheap shit either it was that pantie soaka smell. Shit had me weak to the knees . I turned looking around to see where it was coming from, and might I say he sexy as hell,but you can tell he was a thug or something close to it .The only difference was he carried himself different. I must was staring too hard cause I heard him speak up.
"You like what you see ma"? The young man asked
Typical." nope,actually I was tryna see if I wanna buy some brownies" I said shooting him a fake smile.Since I wanted to be petty and I wanted some chocolate,I went ahead and brought them.
1 hour later
I was done with my cake and was too tired to eat it so I decided to wait till tomorrow. I went ahead to my room for a nap before Khy loud ass come in here all loud and shit
It felt like 5 minutes when Khy came in making noise. "Khy be quiet" I mumbled
"Girl get yo ass up its 7 " she said shaking me
"iight iight I'm up " I sat up
"Why I gotta go out its cold out there ,you tryna freeze me?"I questioned
" No , and we gone be inside anyway and its gone be hot, too many niggas and musty bitches " she replied getting out a dress and her makeup.
"Right what time we leaving?." I asked
"10" she looked up at me layin down "get up Rah" she yelled
"Ight bitch I'm finna go shower " I said going to my the bathroom across the hall
While I was showering I thought back to the last time I spoked to my folks.Shits crazy.The oldest gets no love no more.I finish my shower 30 minutes later
I brushed my teeth, and went back into the room
"Oouu bestfriend smelling good "
"Yeah what ima wear I didn't go shopping for anything for a club cause it's cold " I said putting emphasis on cold.
