art galleryeverything must be perfect, everything must go according to plan. the boy thought. people are already enjoying themselves and admiring the portraits, paitings and writings of the gallery. jeongguk had never threw a party this big. but of course, only those who appreciates art is the only one invited.
the black car stopped in front of the structure that shone very beautiful at night with its lights outside. she couldn't wait to get in and congratulate him for doing such a good job in pursuing his dream into building his own gallery.
chaeyoung walked inside the place. and as expected—she's impressed. the white walls and how flowers were his main decorations, abstract painting and different kinds of art hanging on each space, she admired everything. of course she took the time to take pictures. but one painting caught her attention. with the biggest canvas, the content includes both his and her home painted in such simple brush strokes yet the important details are there. and in the middle of the street is little chaeyoung and jeongguk meeting to go to school.
out of the blue, someone covered chaeyoung's eyes. she immediately knew who it was because of how gentle its touch with such big hands.
"hey let me see you." she teases him, who finally removes his hand from hers and saw him wearing a black suit and tie. with a big smile, "so what do you think?" jeongguk asked, his arms wide open.
"you did a good job koo, i'm so proud of you!" chaeyoung dived in for a hug and gave him a squeeze. "wait till you see the best part of the gallery." he said and grabbed chaeyoung's hand pulling her away from the people and went upstairs.
jeongguk opened a door but inside is pitch black. nothing but darkness and only a small streak of moonlight shown from window that's covered with a dashing red curtain. he pulled her in, guiding her towards the window and slowly opened the curtains.
"breathtaking." she agapes, admiring the view of the eiffel tower with the night blue sky surrounded by countless of stars more than she could count in korea. the night's starlights shoned in her direction, creating a silhouette of her body.
"beautiful isn't it." jeongguk said, looking directly at her.
"it's so... wonderful. you really picked a good spot on having to see both eiffel and the stars at a good distance." chaeyoung said, still mesmerized by it.
"the stars are shining for you, mon amour." he said facing her and crept his hands slowly into her waist, the other lifting up her hand for a dance.
hold me close and hold me fast
the magic spell you cast
this is la vie en rose"looks like the stars are bright enough for the room to light up." chaeyoung teased.
when you press me to your heart
i'm in a world apart
a world where roses bloom"you're beautiful today. absolutely beautiful chaeyoung." he twirled her.
and when you speak
angels sing from above."now that i pursued my dream, i have a new one."
everyday words seem
to turn into love songs"what is it?" she asks.
give your heart and soul to me
and life will always be"to have a life with you." on the last verse he leaned more closely—so close he could feel her shaky breath. he paused for a brief moment only to see her eyes closed, and he showed an adoring smile before finally pressing his lips onto hers. slowly, deeply, making sure he'd make this moment mark on both of their lips.
—la vie en rose.
