"I found a way to cure you Finn!" She said excitedly. We only waited a few seconds for her answer, but I swear it felt like a lifetime, and for someone that is immortal that's a very, very long time! The answer she gave us broke my heart. Millions of things ran through my head and I just couldn't understand how this could be happening... I mean... I couldn't have heard her correctly, I just couldn't have.

"But I'm not sick." A dumbfounded Finn finally answered,  breaking the silence.

"Yes you are! You're cursed with immortality. This isn't you Finn! This is what she did to you!" Bubblegum said pointing to me.

"Excuse me?!?" I screamed. Now I was mad. She came into my house with 'good news' and now she's going to sit here and bash me and call me a curse?!? I don't think so! "What I did to him!?! I'm pretty sure it was you who told me to do this to him!!!" I yelled at her.

"Marceline, we all know you've had a thing for Finn since you met him! When he got sick it was a perfect motive for you to turn him into a monster, like you." That's when I broke... The one person I once called my true friend had just called me a monster... I felt hot tears roll down my cheeks. I wanted to pull them back in, but I know there was no going back now. They started pouring out of my eyes. I turned away from her and Finn, then I flew upstairs slamming and locking the trap door behind me. I flung myself onto the bed and sobbed into my pillows. I hated her with all of my heart for now and forever on. I vowed I would never be friendly to the Princess of candy ever, ever again. She had lost my respect and my trust. I heard more yelling downstairs and then the front door slammed. There was silence for awhile and then a light tap on the trap door.

"Marceline?..." Finn asked in a quiet, shaky voice. "Marcy let me in..."

"No!" I yelled, although it was muffled by my pillow.

"Marceline if you don't let me in I'll find another way in." I sighed and unlocked the trapdoor. I heard him land softly onto the ground and then slowly walk to the bed. He sat next to me and rubbed my back gently. "You okay?" I glared at him with red puffy eyes in answer to his question. "Okay, okay stupid question..." I replaced my face into the pillow as he continued to rub my back. "Marceline, you know I don't want the cure."

"Why not?..." I asked as I looked up at him. He looked down at me with a questioning gaze. "You could be normal again... And not be a monster, like me." My voice cracked as I said it and I started crying hard again, burring my face deep into my pillow.

"Oh Marceline, you're not a monster..." He laid next to me and ran his fingers through my hair. "And if you were I would be happy to be a monster with you." I turned my head to look at him and smiled slightly. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders and pulled me into his chest. We laid there for hours, with my head on his chest. He kissed me on the forehead and rubbed my back, and helped me to breath and calm down. Finally I did, but that didn't make my new loathing for Princess Science Pants any smaller. She would understand what a mistake she made calling me a monster... Because now I will be the monster of her nightmares.
