James found himself becoming increasingly flustered on the day of his wedding. He constantly misplaced his shoes, almost ripping his dress robes every other minute. It was as if he couldn't go a single minute without some sort of calamity happening to him.

Elodie, on the other hand, was calm and collected, seemingly unfazed by the chaos that James was causing. She simply chuckled, watching him fumble and bumble his way through the preparations.

James' family seemed to relish the opportunity to see him panic and stress on his wedding day. Instead of helping him, they merely watched with amusement, enjoying the chaos he was causing.

His mother, in particular, revelled in his nervousness. "Looks like someone's feeling the pressure," she chuckled sarcastically, her eyes glimmering with mischief.

James shot his mother a glare, but he was far too panicked to maintain it long. "Yes, thank you, Mother," he retorted, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Your astute observation is much appreciated."

He glanced around, noticing how everyone seemed to be enjoying his misery. Great. Just great.

Lily grinned at her brother, saying, "Once you finally see Elodie, all your nerves will fade away."

James grinned back at her. "That's why you're my favourite sister," he replied.

Lily deadpanned, stating, "I am your only sister."

Albus rolled his eyes, to which James glared at him. "And you're my least favourite brother."

Albus shot him a blank stare. "I'm your only brother," he protested.

James huffed, "If I say 'sibling,' it implies I have favourites."

Ginny sighed, shaking her head slightly. She glanced over at Harry, who was standing off to the side, trying not to get involved. Harry knew from experience that he tended to make things worse when he inserted himself into his children's disagreements, so he decided it was best to keep out of it for now.

Eventually, the time had come, and it was time for James and Elodie to exchange their vows.

As Elodie walked down the aisle, James managed to embarrass himself even further. This moment would become a hot topic of conversation for years to come, with his family finding every opportunity to tease him about it during the holidays.

Elodie, on the other hand, always found a way to find humour in the situation. She had a knack for finding the nostalgic and amusing aspects of James's blunders.

James had established himself as a professional quidditch player, enjoying a five-year stint in the sport. However, he eventually chose to retire and pursue a new path as an Auror.

Meanwhile, Elodie had followed in her husband's uncle Bill's footsteps and trained under him as a curse-breaker. At first, she found it to be a difficult task, but James remained her steadfast supporter throughout her journey.
