People always tell me love comes to those who wait.
"But 6 years is already way too long for me for God's sake." I mumbled to myself while putting a spoonful of chocolate cereals to my mouth.
Remembering my wish on my 20th birthday in which I asked to find a guy that matches my standards. What I'm looking for a guy is someone who is kind, sweet, loving, passionate, honest, independent, loyal, God-fearing, sensitive, gentleman, monogamous, one who would watch Chickflicks with me, who would give me chicken burgers and fries everytime I'm mad or something. Who would prefer cuddling with me than going on a boy's night with his friends. I mean, that's not too much right?
After finishing a bowl of milk and chocolate cereals, I rushed to the bathroom, took a shower then immediately went to my closet.
Living in Hawaii for almost 10 years after my parents died due to a car crash, I've learned to be independent. Since I am the only child, I managed the pastry bakeshop called The Bacherry. The bakery is already popular for tourists and locals when I took over. Mom made a really great job in running the business that is why I'm doing the very best I can to continue what she started --- which explains why I don't have much time to go on dates.
After wiping myself dry, I decided put on a light blue floral dress with a flowy skirt that lengths just above my knees, its color highlights my gorgeously tanned skin. I matched it with my nude brown flipflops that matches the brown lacy straps of my dress. I managed to put on my favorite light pink matt lipstick which highlights my small pouty lips. Put on some mascara that makes my light hazel eyes stand out. Blow dry my straight light brown hair then fixed it up into a ponytail. I grabbed my yellow tote bag and put everything I needed inside. As I made my way down to the stairs, I heard two voices chatting and giggling.
"Oooh, I bet he's hot! Many girls were drooling at the mere sight of him" Harriet's voice giggling almost in a melodic voice.
"Hey girls!" I greeted them cheerfully as I went down to hug them.
"Hey, Ariadne!" Harriet greeted and waved. She looked fresh and preppy with her white whole dress that accentuates her slim waist and her curves with sleeves that lengths up to her elbows. Her light blue wedge sandals matches her outfit. Her light brown hair fixed into a loose bun which emphasizes her round face, narrow nose, pink supple lips with her flushed cheeks and her light grey eyes beaming lively as the sun highlighted her face.
"Hey, Ars. Goodmorning!" Georgina smiled so brightly. She looked sleek and pretty with her mint green sleeveless dress that lengths abover her knees with her white flip flops. Her ash-blonde curly hair flowing behind her. We quite have the same facial structure except for her cheekbones. Her eyes were dark green her nose pointy and her lips were thin yet kissable.
"What's with the yahoo smiley on your faces?" I joked, curious of what news or gossip are they going to tell me.
Harriet, Serafina, and Georgina are my childhood bestfriends. We were neighbors in Southport, California which is my hometown and practically where I grew up. My parents had some properties and a vacation house in Hawaii. Because of its breathtaking view and sunny breeze, we always go there every summer. My mom has a strong passion in baking which pushed her to build her own baking business. My parents and my bestfriends' parents are very good friends which is why they allow us to have sleepovers every night--- yes, every night. We were so close that we treat each other like sisters. That's why when my parents died, they and their families took care of me and guided me to be just exactly what my parents wanted me to be. I graduated Business Administration-General in Southport State University together with my best friends. I decided to live permanently here in Hawaii to focus in managing the business. 3 years after, my friends came after me and decided to also live in Hawaii.
