I watched them as they waited patiently for me to speak. I released a deep sigh and decided to tell them everything that has happened.
"I thought you were going to ask me 'who do I work for' given this extreme interrogation you're giving me." I smirked at them with their faces grinning at me widely.
"Arie!" Harriet exclaimed and exerted a pout. "Come on. Don't be such a tease." She demanded and looked up at Serafina and Georgina who was raising her brows.
"Fine. But first, could you please settle all down and not swarm all over me? In case you forgot, I'm still not okay." It kinda looked like they were too distracted of the whole scenario with Delton earlier that they actually forgot about me.
Georgina gasped. "Oh shoot! We forgot about that, sorry Ars. Anyways, are you okay? What happened?" I can see the worry in Georgina's eyes. Her right hand was holding my left hand while her free hand was touching my face gently.
"Alright. I'll go get us some coffee." Harriet volunteered and walked towards the kitchen.
I smiled at them. It's funny how these girls can be really caring and concerned at times like this, given that these idiots are extremely crazy. I really am very lucky to have them and not even once I regretted being friends with them because frantically speaking, we treat each other like family.
I just shook my head. "I can feel just a slight pain on my cheek but I'm okay." I assured them.
Serafina sat on the arm rest beside me and touched my cheek. She rubbed her forefinger gently on my skin. A few seconds later, her brows furrowed and she tilted my head.
"Having fun there, Fina?" I interrupted her with my left brow raised in curiosity.
She curled her lips on one side and narrowed her eyes. "Wait. Why are you wearing a concealer? You're allergic to make-up and other beauty products." Serafina stood up straight and planted a hand on her waist.
I gulped. "I had to. If I get out of his hotel with my face which kinda looked like a rotten eggplant, everyone who may see us might think Delton did that to me. I don't want his reputation to be ruined just like that."
"Oh, so you do care about him." Georgina butted in.
"Psh. It's not that I really care.. Alright, maybe a little, okay? It's just that he took care of me the whole time. I should atleast somehow do something for him in return."
"You like him, don't you?" Harriet spoke as she came back from the kitchen holding a tray in her hands. She placed the tray onto the center table.
My brows furrowed. "What? No! Guys, can we all stop this now? The more you interrogate me about Delton, the more my head hurts." I said while pretending to rub my forehead. I just had to stop this conversation we're having right now. It's kinda uncomfortable for me, and I don't know why.
Georgina heaped a sigh. "Alright. Here, have some coffee." She took a cup of hot coffee and handed it to me. I took the cup and inhaled the lovely scent of the coffee and took a sip.
"Ariadne, what happened? Why didn't you call us last night? Why are you even alone in the bakeshop?" Serafina asked as she placed her coffee on the table.
I sighed. "I don't know. Everything just happened so quickly." I stopped to look at them while they were all staring and paying attention to me. "I decided to close the bakeshop early and give the crew their friday night out since they were working hard these past few weeks, I thought maybe they needed a break or something like that. A few minutes later after they left, someone knocked harshly on the door. I thought maybe it was Morris or Shellie who came back to get something, but I was wrong, it was that scum. He demanded for money but I didn't give it to him so he used his strength instead and smacked me everywhere and I fought back and everything was already blurred and then a couple minutes later Delton came in and I passed out." I managed to tell them despite of my hands that were trembling, but they didn't seem to notice because I was trying to hide it.
