it was monday. ava walked out of her house, a happy face while doing so. she was ready for the day. she walked up to george, who laid expressionless. they greeted each other.
"so, have you made any friends?" he asked her, bringing a cigarette to his mouth and lighting it.
"no. i've made a few friendly conversations with - er... pattie boyd?" she answered, unsure of her name.
george smirked.
"she's cute. kind of a bitch, though. i think she's friends with jane." he critiqued.
ava furrowed her brows.
"she's nice to me! you gotta give people a chance." she defended, nudging him.
he rolled his eyes, inhaling the nicotine infused in his cigarette before blowing it in ava's face. she swatted it away from her face instantly.
"i've given these people a chance for over two years now. i've only met three people who didn't have a holier-than-thou attitude." he expounded.
"who're they?" she questioned.
he chuckled. her curiousity was endearing.
"my bandmates." he answered vaguely.
"who are...?" she questioned further.
he rolled his eyes.
"you're not gonna know who they are anyways. the guys you see in leather jackets." he responded, remaining vague.
she raised her brows.
"oh! yeah, i kinda already knew you were close with them." she speculated.
"what gave it away, the leather jackets?" he asked sarcastically.
she wasn't able to hint the sarcasm.
"mhm." she answered cheerily.
he chuckled.
"that was the joke, you ditz." he countered.
"oh." she voiced in realization.
she then gasped, an idea coming to mind.
"i should hang out with you guys!" she suggested.
he chortled.
"yeah, okay." he accepted sarcastically.
"i'm serious! if everyone else but them are assholes, i should be hanging out with them." she expressed.
he shrugged, flicking away his cigarette.
"you have a point. they're hard to get close to, though. so don't take it personally." he confided.
she nodded her head in agreement.
"alright. meet us at the music room." he informed.
she smiled at him.
"okay! i'm excited." she conveyed.
"i wouldn't be too excited." he warned.
