ava was picking at her food while sitting at the cafeteria table. she was sitting with stu, pattie, jimmy and jane. pete was temporarily out of the group, as him and jane had just broke up.

"cmon ava, eat your food or else i will!" jimmy threatened.

ava looked up at him and chuckled.

"fine." she responded, picking up the smallest amount of salad with her fork.

stu rolled his eyes.

"just leave her alone. fuckin' wanker." he hushed aggressively.

pattie giggled, sliding in closer with stu. ava frowned. she looked at jimmy, he looked sad.

"no, it's alright." ava defended, sliding it down to jimmy.

jane rolled her eyes.

"just shag him already." he commented.

ava sighed. she was growing annoyed with her and all her comments about shagging.

"why can't i just talk to a guy without shagging him?" ava questioned her.

jane gave her an annoyed look.

"because i joked about george, and then you actually shagged him." she retorted.

pattie stifled a laugh. stu let out a soft 'ooo' and jimmy stayed quiet with furrowed brows.

"i never did! we just kissed." ava argued.

jane let out a laugh.

"yeah, and i'm sure you want to 'just kiss' paul and jimmy. which happen to be the manwhores of the school. besides pete." jane insulted.

ava scoffed. she looked at jimmy, who just seemed hurt.

"well, cmon. it's true isn't it?" jane questioned.

ava shook her head.

"no! and you know what? i hate being treated like this. you guys are kind of arseholes, most of the time." ava ranted, standing up.

this was the only time she's ever been angry like this.

"then leave. no one here wants you here. right, guys?" jane asked rudely.

ava didn't expect anybody to say anything. but to her surprise, jimmy stood up with her.

"if she's leaving, then i'll leave with her. because screw you guys!" jimmy swore, taking ava's salad from the table.

they looked at the two of them with shock. they stared back, no fear in their eyes. and as nobody interfered with their want to leave, they turned and walked away. once they were far enough from them, they turned to each other and began to laugh.

"i knew i always liked you the most." ava remarked.

jimmy smiled.
